Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DM73 Reservation process no good. Room assignment no good
Made reservation 3 weeks ahead and system would not let room choice pick but allowed preference to be made. Also, some promise of potential upgrades. On arrival assigned room style would never pick - 2 queens standard vs king suite desired. Shower head terrible- no movement flexibility. Room cost high. Worst Holiday Inn Express by far of the 4 we used on way out to Olympia from Indiana.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sandy 501 Great night time staff
The check in staff was very personable and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room temp was perfect. Lots of pillows that were comfy as well. The rooms were very clean and well made

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by busdriver002 Very nice place to stay
They went above and beyond when compensating for the whirlpool not working. I left my I-Pod there and they called me to let me know. The only bad thing, she wanted to charge me to mail it back to me.

I found everything to be well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable with good sheets and pillows and a friendly staff.
That said, I had one major challenge, for me at least, with the shower head. I have used countless showers in numerous hotel, motels, inns and B & B's and I appreciate a good shower. The heads in this hotel were some of the worst I've used. I spoke with the front desk and they exchanged it with the same type as the original with little if any improvement. I have used several low volume heads but this one had me at a loss. With all the money spent to make guests happy this was one place they missed terribly.

The price was way too high for a room across from the noisy ice machine and vending machine. Children were banging on our wall from the next room.

Over all our stay was good. I felt there should have been more staff available for service. Everyone was nice but either could not find anyone or had to wait. Some examples were: There was only one person available at the counter and she was on the phone with another client, another person came in to registered while we waited about 12 minutes. She was very nice and helpful but I felt there should have been another attendant. I came down, I had forgotten my toothbrush to see about an extra, twice, both times there was a sign saying they were helping or doing something. I waited for awhile but gave up. One night we came down for cookies, they were stuck to the plate and gooey but I was looking for a plate or something to carry them on but again just a sign. We could not figure out how to turn the hot tub on (cold and no bubble) checked once at the counter and the person was helping someone with another client waiting, so came back later no one was there again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fonzie53 Room was nice and clean.
I am a Marriott Platinum member due to frequent travels. We chose this hotel due to the it's location near Central Washington University where my son will be attending college this fall and where I will be making numerous visits. I booked the room online and noticed my credit card was charged immediately. I was advised that is because of the way I booked the room. I am only used to the credit card being charged at check-in. I can live with that I suppose. Once I arrived I provided a Government ID to get a reduced rate but was told I was out of luck since I did not select it at time of booking. That is kind of like saying, "oops you didn't see the Government rate selection, sorry" your loss not ours! Oh well, I guess I will stay with the Hotel chain that I know and stayed at over 120 days last year. Additionally, my wi-fi was turned off in the sometime after midnight on the day of my departure. Guess they figured I didn't need it anymore?
