Nice room, fitness center and an indoor pool. With a great breakfast and helpful staff could not ask for more.

Everything good except there were only 2 luggage carts -there used to be four and they have not replaced the broken ones according to the staff. Had to make 3 trips to bring my luggage Dow.

When I checked in as a member I was given a code to access the Internet. After driving for 10 hours, I took a long bath and then just wanted to relax and check my email. An hour later I still could not get on and called the desk, the girl on duty said I could come down to the lobby and get better access. I did not find this at all helpful.

Clean room, great mattress - these were definitely THE selling points.
No restaurants in the immediate vicinity and cumbersome 'U-turn' to return to the Interstate and dinning were minor cons.

Third time we stayed over night at Emporia's Holiday Inn Express on our way from NJ to our southern destination of Marathon, FL Never have we been disappointed in the accommodations, breakfast and overall experience! Probably would not stay elsewhere. Thank you for having high expectations met!

The shower head in the our bathroom was held on by a zip tie and unfortunately we were not able to adjust the shower head! We were in a handicap room because they had no other king rooms even though we had a confirmed reservation for a regular king room. Also the jacuzzi was not working and the front desk clerk did not realize it until we went and told her! The staff was very nice and apologized for the problems she offered to credit our priority club account with a 1000 points. We enjoy staying at Holiday Inns but were a little disappointed in our stay this time.
