Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by staff I have to take time out of my busy travel time to give a thumbs up for this location. The staff here is great especially Zen. Zen was very helpful in making our stay their wonderful. Zen helped in restaurant selection as well as a great place for I cream. In my travels I am always getting a massage after air travel or having to sit for long periods in a car. She new of some places to get a massage even at our later arrival. Thank you Zen. The rest of the staff was very accommodating. This place is a 10 and Zen and the staff is an 11. Thanks, Ken July 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable, clean and nicely appointed We recently stayed at this hotel while visiting friends over the 4th of July Holiday. The staff was helpful and courteous. Our room was ready upon our arrival. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to sleep in and then enjoy the complimentary breakfast. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I visit our friends in the area. July 7, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room #110 HORRIBLE Checked into Room #110. Entire room is damp like someone sprayed a mister all over room (even carpets felt wet). Granite bathroom sink had major crack in middle. Sink was not level and slightly tilted towards front and the faucet leaked when water is running. So when faucet is leaking water, dripping towards you (the front), going down the side, getting toilet paper wet and the rest of the water ran down the cabinet and puddled on the bathroom floor. Shower did not drain, so you are standing in dirty water by showers end. Totally gross!! Tried to stick it out the first night. Woke up in the morning and the loaded coffee maker up, but it wouldn't turn on. It was continuous problems. Finally called front desk and they said they'd try and find another room. So - before we head out for the day, we had to pack up our room again so that the hotel staff could move it. Checked back in the evening, had a different room but thought the customer service was lacking. Such a bad first night and no discount. No room complimentary............NOTHING!!! Unpacked and settled in, all over again. (I wipe everything down with clorox wipes, so it is a pain in the butt to have to move to another room). Pretty horrible!! Our new room smelt of insecticide or some type of chemical. Horrible!!!! The rooms are tiny and squishy. Bathroom is tiny!!! Will not recommend this property to anyone!!!! Worse stay ever!!!! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room 110 - horrible Damp/moist room, as if someone had walked through the room spraying a mister. Carpet was wet. Shower didn't drain. Granite on sink was cracked. Sink was not level, faucet had slow leak when water was turned on, ran across sink, down the side enough to get toilet paper wet, then drip and create puddle on floor. Coffee maker didn't work. Room was very dark. Not enough lighting. Desk chair too big for room. Rooms were tiny. Too small. After first night and realizing all these items, they moved us to another room, which was fine...but what happened to customer service? No discount or comp'd room for that nasty first night. Nothing but move us to a different room...really???? Not good at all!!!! July 2, 2014

The room was very comfortable as was the bed, there was no outside noise that interfered with sleep even though it was located by a main hwy. There was a great choice of breakfast foods that also tasted good. Hot foods were hot and cold foods was cold. Our stay was an all around great experience. June 23, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Would not stay here again The inconsistency with the front desk staff from one customer to another was ridiculous (i.e. I would ask a question and a couple others in our group asked the same question and we got 3 different answers from the same employee). The elevator was not working well. The pool/spa was not very clean looking. The room was just ok, have stayed at much nicer places for same or less cost. The only plus was the breakfast and the breakfast staff was good about keeping items stocked. June 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality and Value The "double double" suite was surprisingly nice and exceeded our expectations for the one night stay. Internet access was as promised. Some hotels say they have Wi-Fi but the speed is slow to nonexistent. This one was OK. Beds were very fresh and crisply made. Better than most and almost on par with boutique hotel quality. Breakfast buffet had many choices and it was possible to feed even the health conscious person with fresh fruits. It was about as good as it gets for complimentary breakfast, which I generally do not bother with. Still over all it was not the healthiest selection of food, but the average person would find it adequate. I do not choose hotels for the free breakfast so it did not matter so much to me. More important was the cleanliness and the comfort and both were more than adequate. The price was excellent on the economy scale and probably the best in its class. June 4, 2014

The service is excellent and the staff makes you feel at home. The building is a little old but it is quiet and everything in my room worked. Only had breakfast there one morning - it was horrible: the ;omelets' and sausage were cold and did not taste good ; the cinnamon rolls and coffee were good. If any HIE offers 'omelets' for breakfast we will not eat there. The hair dryer in the bathroom would only stay on if you held the button. The bathroom was VERY small. Don't know if we'd consider this hotel a 2nd time.......... May 5, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by toliet Toilet was not working at check in. Notified front desk and someone was sent immediately but had to make 2 trips. I was gone for 2nd attempt. Upon my return the toilet still did not flush. Reported again to front desk and they indicated they would send the same person so I then repaired myself. Canceled repair request the next AM. 2nd night unable to reach the front desk to request wake up call. Let the phone ring numerous times on 3 different occasions then gave up. Alarm clock in room would only work in auto mode not alarm mode. Did not find the front desk to be service friendly nor accommodating after the first night. March 17, 2014

We were looking for something comfortable and clean, and at a good value since we didn't need a fancy, expensive hotel. The room was clean and well maintained, but what really stood out was the service. Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly, but mostly we dealt with Joel at the Front Desk. He was great! He gave us great restaurant recommendations and even printed out directions. His knowledge of the area helped us decide on the other activities to do after visiting the Safari Park..
