Owing to my wife's disability we were allocated a disabled room and normally in other hotels these can be a bit tatty however I was impressed with how clean the room was. Breakfast was ok for what you would need in the morning. February 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable night and plenty of breakfast As an overnight stay it was very convenient, we were greeted by staff who were helpful and pleasant. The room was great, the hot water plentiful and the breakfast just what we needed to set us up for the day. Thankyou staff. One complaint, please move the smokers away from the front entrance. Walking in with a one year old daughter through the fug and the smell was appalling quite frankly. February 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad night's sleep Room rather small compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed in. Mattress on double bed very uncomfortable, could feel springs. Bed settee had a mattress of around 2" thick and the springs could be felt through thin material. Terrible night's sleep as beds very uncomfortable. Shower only trickled water through the head. Warm food at breakfast was luke warm. Reception staff not interested when we said how bad the mattresses were. February 20, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor nights sleep I booked two rooms for our stay: one for myself & my wife for one night, one for my daughters and a grandchild for two nights. On arrival we were allocated rooms on the ground floor in rooms 32 and 48, my daughters room (48) laid out for three had been provided with 4 pillows, whilst our room (32) had four - two labeled soft and two hard, when I requested reception replace our two hard pillows with soft and my daughter asked, at Reception, for two additional pillows we were told that they would do their best to sort this out, but there weren't many pillows left. The requests were, however, complied with and a pillow approximately 5cm thick & of virtually no use, was delivered to replace the hard one. See attached photo. The bed in the room was obviously very old and springy, my wife and I were unable to sleep for any length of time before rolling into the middle. Next day I asked the Duty Manager to take a look at the pillow and the the bed, she was amazed herself and arranged a 50% refund. We travel regularly and I am an IHG Rewards Club member. I shall not be staying at a Holiday Inn a Express again. February 16, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will use again Got what I asked for when booking twin room. Very cheerful staff. would recommend to friends. Breakfast choices are average. I hate sausages and would have liked bacon with my scrambled eggs. Still plenty though to eat. February 12, 2015
