Several of the channels on the tv reception was poor and continued to tile, but not all. Most of the channels I wanted to watch were included in the poor reception that resulted in tiling. One in particular was FoxNews, (I think channel 31-12).
Also the internet connection (wireless) was probably weak, resulting in most of the URL's that I tried to load into my browser, would not load.
I think both of these problems were related,and did not happen at my next stop the following evening.
When I asked the clerk at the front desk, she said that she was the only one there and maintenance had gone home. I suggested she call maintenance and she said she did not have a number to call. I then suggested she call the manager. She asked to wait until she finished with the customer at the desk, and I said that was fine and to let me know the results of her call. I never heard from her again. Apparently she had not read the blue or purple (I forget which) paper that was in the room talking about the great service and your pledge to address any issue, 24/7.
I have stayed at this property several times in the past, but was very disappointed this time.
I usually use the pool when available. Looking through the window into the pool area, it was obvious that the pool was not clean, as the water was green indicating an algae presence.
On a positive note, I was pleased with the jet tub in our room which overcame the lack of a clean pool.
Sorry to be so negative. This is not what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express or any of the IHG properties.

Our experience was outstanding from the very first reservation. I made reservations for 3 rooms on the first floor. One room was paid for with Priority Points, the other two with a credit card. The two paid for with the credit card were made over the phone with a person at the Evansville-North hotel. She was very helpful in making sure all three of us were close together. She understood my concern about a room for my elderly father and provide a wonderful room for him. The front desk even called to confirm the oxygen concentrator was delivered before we arrived.
Our rooms were clean and well appointed. We ask for a refrigerator to be brought to one of the rooms for storing medication and before we could get the car unloaded it was in the room. The maid staff did an outstanding job of meeting our needs.
Breakfast was delicious. My husband appreciated having packets of hot sauce to go with his eggs. My granddaughter loved the cinnamon rolls.
Our entire family found our stay very pleasant.

Lindsey at the desk was so pleasant to work with when we made our reservation by phone, you could tell she enjoyed her job! This experience on the phone made me want to meet her when we got to the hotel. She was great when we checked in and everytime we were in the lobby she chatted with us! Every member of the staff spoke to us! The breakfast was great! Lori at breakfast made sure we had everything we needed. The fitness room was very nice and the treadmill worked very well. The pillows were the best I have had at staying at a Holiday Inn. There were 3 other couples in our group and we all said we would stay at this Holiday Inn Express the next time we come to Evansvill to visit our friends!!!

Took a weekend trip with two children and reserved the jacuzzi suite. The photos on the website really do no justice to the amount of room in the suites. We also booked a separate room for the kids as a double queen room, and both rooms were very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was nice and the pancake machine was a nice treat. TV had loads of channels and the jacuzzi was clean and worked great. Staff was extremely pleasant, including one repair dude who I am not sure even worked for the hotel. Location was convenient and quiet. The only drawback was the location is a little bit of a drive from the main city, but there are two extremely well appointed convenience stores close. Also, there are restaurants within walking distance -- both fast food and sit-down. Even though the hotel is close to a couple of main highways, there was absolutely no noise at all.
This property is clearly maintained by owners who care about and take pride in the property.

I currently stay 100 - 160 nights a year, all different locations in Holliday Inns across the U.S. This is a great location, I found the prices surprisingly well below the average cost most charge. The best part is this location was spotless, rooms were very nice and the receptionists were trained the way were promised upon arrival, they actually offered me an upgrade without asking which doesn't happen offten these days. The best part is the internet was updated and ran fast unlike most other locations. I highly reccommend if your traveling through Hwy. 64 in this part of Indiana this is the best location I found yet, and its right off the Highway!

This year we decided to travel US 41 to Florida instead of I 65. Evansville, IN was the prefect stop traveling south out of Chicago. The hotel was in a great location. Easy off the road and easy to get started in the morning. I think we found a new route to travel, knowing that the quality of Holiday Inn family is there during our travel.

Great service once I stepped out of my car! The gentleman blowing the parking lot stopped and opened the door for me and it just got better from there. The manager was extremely kind and even offered me a cold bottle of water. She then called my room to check and see if everything was OK. The two housekeepers had left me a note with two Hershey kisses on my bedside table. Everything was clean and I would recommend Holiday Inn Express to anyone!

This site needs to pay more attention to their breakfast offerings. You might consider providing single serve milk bottles in assorted flavors and fat levels. You could serve them from your refrigerated merchandiser along with the yogurt cups.

I must admit that after reading some of the reviews regarding this hotel, I was a bit apprehensive about staying here. I put my trust in the Holiday Inn Express brand and was not let down. There is nothing wrong with this property. It does not have a bad odor.
If I want a 42" high definition TV or real glasses and a granite counter top in the bathroom, then I know I should make reservations at the Crowne Plaza. If you are just passing through town and need a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay overnight, you should consider this hotel.

This isn't our first stay in this hotel, normally it is a great stay. Not this time. We arrived roughly around midnight hoping to get some sleep before we finished up the last leg of our 10 hour trip, but that didn't happen. The room we were in apparently had paper thin walls as the guest to the right of us decided to have a conversation about grooming their dog, what type of material the comforter was made of, and whether they should watch TV or not. It sounded as if they were in the room with us and it kept me up till roughly 2am. Then that same morning at roughly 5am I hear the people in the next room packing up all of their stuff and discussing if they should eat at Denny's or hit the road for a few hours then eat. The value of this motel is great, but for 3 hours of sleep and passing on the free breakfast it definately wasn't worth the price. I want to point out that this is only one night of numerous stays here that we ran into this problem.

We traveled from KS to OH to WV and on our way back to KS we stayed at the Evansville HI Express, as we always do. We have stayed here on many occasions because we travel with our small dog. Each time we stay we are less and less impressed. Since this was Christmas week, we decided to rent a Jacuzzi room. After long travels, we were looking forward to soaking in the Jacuzzi tub. Other HI Express hotels we stay at have the big Jacuzzi tub in the main room. This tub was nothing less than an over-sized bath tub. We were disappointed to say the least, but to be even more disappointed, we didn't get in the tub because of the dirty jets!! I took a picture just to show how dirty they were. They were all corroded with filth... we were not happy at all. We have made the decision to not stay at this hotel anymore. We have found another HI Express that we can stay at when we travel from KS to WV and back. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone, until there are much needed updates completed.

Might as well have been a budget hotel. TVs from the early 90's, fuzzy picture with 3 shades of color. Other issues too. Don't feel like going into them. Not what I'm used to with the Holiday Inn Express brand.

Rooms had old TV's and did not even get whole picture on them, Furniture was old and dirty looking, and the bed mattress was well worn as you could feel the springs. Not going to stay here again.

I loved the staff, professional friendly and service oriented. The rooms need new pillows matresses, iron, and the bathrooms need to be cleaned. the hallways smelled of mildew and smoke. Having new sheets and pillow cases do not make up for poor quality or condition. The breakfast was Holiday Inn Express good, they never miss out in my book. Would I stay here, well, only if the rate was good. Sorry staff, because you guys are good at what you do.

We were there for a family funeral. We were happy to get a room as there was something big in town that weekend. First 3 nights were OK, but our whole stay the hot tub didn't work, the waffle maker didn't work, and one drinking fountain near the lobby was covered and out of order. The last day was terrible. We returned from the funeral and wanted to relax. The room wasn't made up yet (2:00 on a Monday, the hotel had been only 1/2 full Sun. night#. So were were going to take a dip in the hot tub, out of order. Waited in the lounge/lobby for 2 hrs. Decided to get hot bath and bathroom light went out. Took another hour or 2 to get that fixed #maid came and made bed and provided fresh towels but since bathroom was being worked in/dark couldn't do anything in there#. When light was finally fixed #had whole new fixture installed) the workman walked out and didn't tell us he was leaving, even though my husband was trying to rest in the bed. By the time we realized the light was finished, all the housekeepers were gone for the day and only one person was on duty and couldn't leave the desk. So we had to clean all the dirt/dust from the light, including the wall board dust on everything in the bathroom. I asked for a free room that night. The person on duty called the manager and I was told to ask for Rhonda by name in the morning and she would 'take care of me'. The next morning when we checked out and asked for Rhonda, she was on a conference call and couldn't be disturbed. The manager would only give us $20 off for all our trouble, "You got to sleep in a comfortable bed". Yes we did, but our room was not available to us for several hours when we really needed it!!

The price was great, This was our 6th stay at this facility and we have recommended it to many people; however, with this visit our recommendations will cease. The room we were in needed serious renovation. One phone would ring but you could not talk on it. While the other phone would not ring but you could talk on it.. The requested wake up call did not happen.. The breakfeast area attendent either stood around watching or was at the front desk talking to the desk clerk or wasn't in sight. When a family of three young girls, two parents and four grandparents showed up, the attendent had to be found and then had to refill the suasage gravey, eggs and biscuts while the family waited and waited. And then she disappeared again. Her performance that morning was sufficient for dismissal. Front desk persoonel were adequate but nothing to write home about.. National needs to take a serious look at this facility for accredition.

My room had two big chips from the soap dish, black stain on the ceiling in the bathroom, toilets was filthy that I saw when I took a bath and looked over. the internet went in and out all night when I was trying to work. Will not stay here again.

This has to have been the worst night I have ever spent in a hotel. Luckily we were only staying one night. If we would have been planning to stay more than one night we would have gone somewhere else for the second night. The mattress was terrible.
