Excellent!! Staff could have been friendlier but overall a great place to stay!

I often use this hotel when visiting Virginia's Eastern Shore for business. My stay is usually quite enjoyable, but this last visit was a bit disappointing. While check in was fairly efficient, later I had difficulty getting someone at the front desk to answer the phone for a wake-up call. This was around 10: p.m. Also, during check in the clerk was unable to enter my points as a Gold Club member, so she wrote the info down promising someone would record them.
I went to the lobby and there were 2 clerks there; one was on her way to clean a room that had not been cleaned properly by housekeeping. The remaining clerk appeared to be flustered and after several minutes asked if she could help me. When I requested a wake-up call, she asked me to wait while she found the appropriate place to enter the request.
At breakfast, there were no napkins available, though a roll of paper towels were on the counter.

I arrived 10 min to midnight with nobody in the lobby desk just a sign will return and two others in the lobby waiting for someone to come. After 15 minutes 2 staff arrived. The first named Michelle who was actually very friendly and accommodating. Apparently one of the gentlemen who was in the lobby had reserved 2 rooms one of which had never been cleaned or made. Michelle was very apologetic however the other worker a heavyset African American lady was extremely rude and inappropriate. Apparently she handed this gentlemen the wrong paperwork to sign and slammed another form in front of him. He asked why he'd had to sign another one she Rudly said just sign this. After he left the next gentlman asked if they had any vacancies for the night. To which this employee loudly stated "NO!" Finally it was my turn and I went to the desk to check in. Luckily I got to deal with Michele who was most apologetic. However during my checking the other heavy set employee just continued to be in a poor attitude and complained of having to clean that room and having to return to work at 7am the next morning. I was finally checked in and went to my room but not before almost tripping around door 315 because there is a hole in the floor that is covered by the carpet that gives way if you step on it. I arrived at my room 323 and found the beds to look like they had only had the covers thrown back over them, a used bar of soap in the shower, a hanger in the bathroom, only one towel in the entire bathroom, and no shampoo. There is obviously some customer service and environmental issues at this hotel.
