Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room but not well staffed We enjoyed the room and the facility itself. The breakfast was great. The price was a little high but manageable. The only problem was the staff service. We waited at the front desk for almost 20 minutes before someone finally came out. Apparently she was the only one working. The hotel should be better staffed but at the very least, if only one person is working, leave a sign at the counter stating that staff will be back shortly. June 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Going To WVU Over 5 years we have stayed at various hotels when visiting our kid at WVU. THIS hotel...the Holiday Inn Express, Fairmont was absolutely the best. Convenient to get to...close to Mo-town...all of that good. But what distinguishes this place is the people that manage and keep the hotel. Best I have ever seen and I have been traveling for nearly 40 years. You can choose to be "closer" by being IN Mo-town but....keep this place in your thinking because you can be in a well-kept, well-managed, great hotel...have great food and services..be treated like a REAL GUEST and travel easily and best yet....pay a little less than IN Mo-Town. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reservations This facility over all is excellent. However, I was very disturbed when the price guarantee listed on the website when I made my reservations was not honored. The price guarantee stated that if you found a lower price at any of their locations you would receive 1 free night. It failed to state that you have 24 hrs to notify the facility of your choice of the finding. When we arrived and I showed the desk staff the printed guarantee, I was then told that it would not be honored and that I had to make my request within 24 hrs of reservations. I also found it disturbing that normal rooms were higher than a executive suite and so I chose the executive suite because it was less expensive. I will not use their website again except to see what the prices are and then I will call the hotel direct "if" I make reservations. I will also state that I was not offered any type of discount or even a different room for a lesser price. I received no help in price from the desk staff only the number to customer care line which had already said no so why bother. May 22, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by THIS ONE'S A KEEPER!! We had stayed in a Holiday Inn Express a week earlier in another location. It was not a good experience, however, this Holiday Inn Express has renewed my faith in this hotel chain! Upon our arrival, we were greeted to a room with one king bed when we had requested 2 doubles. Our first thought was, "Here we go again!" The hotel was full, so we were not able to change rooms. However, the guest clerk offered us a roll-away bed (at no extra charge). Our expectations were very low regarding the comfort of the bed, but to our surprise, it was a very comfortable mattress and box springs!! The hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable and breakfast was great! We would definitely stay at this motel again and highly recommend it! This recommendation comes from someone with very high expectations! April 9, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and pricey We stayed here for one night and the rooms are nice, clean and spacious but noisy. The room doors SLAM shut and are very loud. So loud they woke us up and kept us awake. The price was more than most Holiday Inn Express and there was nothing extra for the price. Might stay here again because it is in a good location when travelling to Florida. February 24, 2013
