Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed and room service Three stars out of five because of construction. The front desk was not friendly and a nonchalant attitude. I was so disappointed in their attitude. I was very satisfied with the housekeeping service. The price should have been adjusted down due to the lack of a pool and fitness center. if you consider my comments, which I assume you won't these seemingly small concerns mean something to these seniors and certainly future stays. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by constuction My husband and I spent an evening in Fargo and selected the Holiday Inn Express for the reasons we always stay there when ever possible. We were there 2-3 weeks prior but there as no rooms available. Things were busy then also with the mess of construction. No visible progress was done during that time, but we have always loved the comfort and figured it would still be worth the inconvenience of some remodeling appearing to be isolated to the main floor with the pool being worked on and the breakfast area still work in progress. Our evening out ran a little late but we believed we would get rest in the comfort or our room. We found out different in the morning. It started around 8:00 am with workers talking and laughing outside our door. By 8:30 there was loud banging and the continued conversations between the workers. We continued to try and sleep but not very successful.With a check out time at noon we have house keeping trying to enter our room at 11:00 am . Still very tired from the longer evening and lack of sleep we were denied a request of an extended checkout seeing that the workers left around the same time I thought an extra hour would be helpful. We always have left refreshed and well rested from the HI express in the past and do not understand why demolition we needed to be done outside the room we payed for, certainly there could have been better times to tear it apart if not maybe that floor should have been closed off. This time we left very tired and a feeling we payed too much for non peaceful visit to your hotel leaving my husband and I both very unsatisfied. March 22, 2015
