The cleanliness of the carpet in many areas was very poor. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express facilities that I have stayed at this one was not up to the same quality

This particular hotel is a nice change from other Holiday Inn Express facilities due to the nature of the rooms with wood flooring versus carpet. Also the rooms are spacious.

I stayed at this hotel when it was a Hotel Indigo By Holiday Inn when it was new about four years ago. This room had the same outdated furniture from four years ago. There were bugs in the room. The T,V reception had limited channels with no signal available on some basic channels like ABC. No Golf Channel Available. The hallway carpets were plain dirty and old. This hotel not up to Holiday Inn Express standards.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I had to come for work and booked it through my job's travel center. First, I should mention I am OCD and a bit of a germ freak. So I came prepared to disinfect my room with Clorox wipes, Lysol, pillow covers, etc. (My sister had me watching 20/20 episodes on bad hotel cleaning methods right before, not the smartest thing....#. Regardless, the first thing that made me really happy was that the floors in my room were hard wood/laminate! I LOVED that!! No nasty carpet! Second, my sheets where clean; they smelled just slightly of bleach, which also made me really happy #its the little things, right?!?) Of course, I still wiped down all surfaces with Clorox wipes and put the remote in a Ziploc, but again, other than that, I was really happy with it. I went to the gym, which was small but had everything I needed. I also liked that they had Clorox wipes there for you to use to clean the machines before and after. I did not go swimming but the pool looked really nice, it was an indoor pool. There was also a couple of washers and dryers that they did not charge you to use. Breakfast was good, although the lady serving it could have had a little bit better personality, but we all have bad days, so I just ignored that. The front desk clerks were always nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to this area.

Elevators are located at two ends of the property which means if you get a room in the middle you have along hike to the elevator.
Very slow breakfast operator. When the coffee ran out it was a waist of my time waiting on more. The breakfast operator did not monitor coffee and had to be told it was out. Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 so don't come down till 7.

This was a case of several small issues combining to just provide a so/so experience. There was no bathtub in the room and for small children this is a problem. This was not clear on the booking website. The walk-in shower was not installed well. The floor didn't have good slope to the drain and the lip at the entry to the shower was to short to contain the water. Basically, the water spills out into the floor and the guest must use a towel as a dam or risk having water all over the floor and any belongings lying in the floor. The hot/cold valve also seemed to be stuck, so it was either very hot or very cold.
The entry doors to the hotel are a hazard because of the automatic closers. They snap closed so quickly and with so much force that carrying bags in and out is a challenge and this is the first experience at the hotel after a long drive to the destination, so the guest begins with a bad taste in their mouth.
The elevator was loud and smelly. At first I thought the guy before me may have passed gas, and left it for our enjoyment. But after 4 nights' stay, I realized that it just smelled that way.
The breakfast was pretty good. We were satisfied with that. Housekeeping did a good job. Overall the stay was fine, and there were no major issues. Any one problem would have been overlooked, but taken together they become bigger, especially for the price tag.
