It has been a very busy year and we decided to get out of the heat of Phoenix for two days. The stay was very relaxing. Our boys enjoyed swimming in the pool. They had one of the better breakfast offerings I have seen in a hotel. We all slept very well and came home relaxed. Can't wait to do this again. Definitely will come back to this hotel.

The rooms are spacious and are kept very clean. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom was kept neat.

Attentive staff very helpful and friendly. Some construction going on the exterior of building but the inconvenience was kept to a minimum.

Staff was extremely friendly throughtout hotel, room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is under renovations and some areas need to be renovated. Several work trucks and vehicles with trailers took up many parking spots which made parking a problem.

We thought the service from the front desk and the maintenance staff(shane) were excelllent! Shane was so polite. The fellow on the night desk(around 11 pm) on the 12th was very good as well!
They also were very accomodating and moved us to a better room on the entrance side after our first night. The first night was in an extremely small room and noisy traffic. The second night was much better.
We had pillow cases that didnt look or smell washed to me and one had yellow spots on it. The night reception person gave us a discount because we also had our smoke alarm beeping that couldnt be figured out and fresh bedding.
I thought the bedding didnt look great. I usually find crisp and almost ironed looking sheets at all holiday inn express locations we have stayed at in California. That was off putting to us.
The rooms are smaller than usual and the bed size doesnt seem like a true queen to me and the hotel is old and needs more renovations, the computer was terrible but the service is excellent.

This hotel is clean and pretty comfortable. I would stay there again if the need should arise.
The check in process could use improvement. All and all I enjoyed my stay there.

We stayed here on the second day of our family vacation....after another long day of driving we were ready to relax. The staff at check in were wonderful and informative of the area. Room was clean, smelled great and very comfy!! We were able to relax, get a bite to eat and sleep well before setting off for the next leg of our journey!!

My family and I recently stayed at this location on our family vacation. The hotel is still under renovation, but I question the value in this. It probably needs to be rebuilt. We arrived on a busy evening and the room AC did not work. It was nearly 80 degrees. They sent maintenance to look at it and I could tell when I opened the door (about 10 p.m.) that we were in trouble. A young kid who had no knowledge and was not very concerned. He tinkered for a moment and gave up, said he would call his boss and get back to us. He never got back to us. While at the front desk asking for a different room we ran into him again and he said there was nothing he could do. The hotel was very full of tourists that night and nothing could be done for us. The front desk staff looked overwhelmed. They were also powerless to make a decision to comp our room, make an adjustment, etc., and referred me to the manager the next day. I will hand it to the front desk guy, however. He called about a half hour later and somehow found us a new room. We moved about 11 pm that night. The AC worked, but the bathroom drain was slow. I would say both room's bathrooms probably needed a little more cleaning. The internet was essentially non-existent. The room was quiet and we did finally get some much needed sleep. The room is smaller than most newer HI rooms, but was otherwise comfortable. The hotel was sold out with mostly foreign customers. The breakfast the next day was hectic and it was difficult to keep it stocked. I think the hotel, knowing they were sold out, probably should have had several more staff members on duty the night before and at breakfast. They were overwhelmed, which unfortunately, left me underwhelmed. Unless there is a newly built IHG hotel in Flagstaff in the future, I would avoid staying in this location and look for something else nearby. I stayed at six different Holiday Inn Express locations on this trip. All except this location were superb.

We were passing by Flagstaff when travel from Grand Canyon (south rim) to Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ. We stayed 1 night at this newly remodeled Holiday Inn Express in Flagstaff. The front desk staff was very friendly. We checked in to the room on the 3 floor which we were told newly remodeled. The room has contemporary look and feel with new furniture and clean bedding. My 9 year old son loves the TV with kid channel. The wifi were good and easily connected. The breakfast was awesome and has variety of hot food (turkey sausage, links, biscuit) and a PANCAKE MACHINE! (now that's the first !) Breakfast starts serving at 6 am and that helps us get start on the new day journey. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a great value!

Location a little questionable do to industrial trucks leaving at 4:30 in the morning in rear of hotel. Ladies kept up with the food supply needed for a very busy breakfast. Great job! A little bit on the pricey side!

Holiday Inn Express and IHG properties have become my hotel of choice because of their consistently high standards. This hotel is a fine example of those standards. The room and bathroom were scrupulously clean with an abundance of new pristine linen. Complimentary breakfast in a well appointed, charming dining room is always a plus. The parking lot was well lit with ample space. Some rooms have microwave, refrigerator and in room coffee. I have never had a front desk agent at an IHG property who was not a consummate professional. I did not appreciate the additional $10 "resort fee" however.

The GSA was efficient and very polite.
Room was "really" clean. Bed was comfort.
Free wi-fi was a plus, however the wi-fi speed is quite slow.

Wasn't very happy at this hotel. I always enjoy my stay at Holiday Inn wasn't in this location. Nothing good to say. Too expensive. Wasn't even recognized as a club member.

I must say that my experience this stay wasn't what I had experienced in the past. The room had an odor, the room was never cleaned, the coffee in the room was not replenished (I did not put up any orders on the door). It may have been a little early (5:15 am) but there was no coffee out and all refreshment doors were either locked or empty. I'm sorry to leave a review like this but it's how it was. I will look for different accommodations in the future.

The best thing about this Holiday Inn Express is the staff. They were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and everything was satisfactory. And I have never seen a more friendly group of people anywhere.

The continental breakfast was the best we ever had. (real bacon!). There were many other hotels/motels near by but they looked crowded and run down. This place was definitely a cut above.

Second stay in a month. Last time major renovation was underway. Was given a " renovated" room yet was not great.
We had spent the night before in Prescott & that staff and service was ANAZING. Wish that hotel would teach this one how to treat guests.
Breakfast has limited choices. Only one floor had a vending machine that worked and you had to check every floor to find out which one.
Workout room smelled and only on bottle of water in basket at 9 am.
One treadmill kept sticking and could not be used.

The entrance gate is not in good shape. The swimming-pool is degraded.

The construction on the outside made it confusing to get to the lobby. But the inside was clean and comfortable. The staff recommended an excellent restaurant. Overall a very good experience.

My wife and I stayed here in Mid-July, and were disappointed to find the hotel in the middle of a renovation. Our room had already been upgraded but not much was done as far as the bathroom was concerned. The room was just 'ok'. The lobby, outside and elevators were not complete and it made for a somewhat depressing stay. Most properties get to a point where they just aren't efficient any longer, and I think this hotel is at that point. It is old and tired, and I'm not sure a renovation is going to do much to help it in the long run. Our impression was this is a high volume hotel used by travelers coming/going to the Grand Canyon, so it gets a lot of use. It is not a particularly cheap hotel so we would not recommend it. The value, when compared to other Holiday Inn properties, was considered poor. We would not stay here again.

My family (daughter and two grandsons) met our eldest daughter halfway which was Flagstaff. We decided to spend the night at your hotel. We were very impressed with everything--comfort, cleanliness, décor, food, newspaper, and business services such as faxing and copying. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for your services.

I have always know Holiday Inn Express to be consistent and friendly. This stay was far from friendly. The team at this hotel needs some training in how to smile at least. I stayed at this hotel twice in a month's time frame. Both times I was locked out of the hotel - not able to check in. The first time signs directed us to go in the back door only to find a locked door and a desk clerk that only could say "I don't know why they direct people there - I can't see that door!". 2nd stay - desk clerk not at front and no response to the door bell. We arrived by tow truck after midnight due to a car accident. (I was not planning on staying in Flagstaff again). I could see her in the back office area but had to call the hotel so she would let me in. Front desk clerks in the morning as well as the AGM had no personality and looked at me as if I was bothering them, did not make me feel welcomed at all. I was shook up from the accident, however they offered no sympathy, no hospitality at all. Two names were listed on the wall for breakfast attendants on duty, however we only saw them once when they came to fill food up. No hello's, no cleaning of tables, etc. Floors in that area were filthy. Now for the room. It is apparent that renovations are going on. Nice furniture - however I had to pull out a wad of hair and caps to shampoo bottles from the drain in order for my kids to take a bath! Gross. The inside of the trash cans were dirty when I removed the trash bag. (just because you put in a trash bag doesn't mean you don't have to clean the inside. Bathroom vent and hairdryer vents dirty/dusty. Shower curtain liner was brown in comparison to the actual curtain! Microwave was missing from the room?! Wall thermostat not working so no way for me to know what temp we had the room at. Door was not self closing (security issue) plus lots of doors open in the same hallway. I believe they were ones that were being worked on and just forgot to lock up at the end of the day. Anyhow didn't make this mom traveling with 3 kids safe at all!!

I do NOT recommend this hotel! The staff was rude, the pool was never open and construction made it difficult to get in and out of hotel. I purchased two rooms for family at this location and was very disappointed. Typically I am happy at a Holiday Inn Express but from check-in through the whole stay I was disappointed. I understand remodeling but it would have been nice to have been notified that this was underway as I had other hotel options.
