The only reason I didn't give this property 5 stars is it isn't within walking distance (for me, I'm middle aged and not gonna walk farther than across a parking lot!! It was 2-3 city blocks or about 1/4 mile from civic center) of the Florence Civic Center and/or shopping, dining, etc. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience! If I had known there was an indoor pool, I'd have brought my swimsuit! :D

The handicapped 2 bed room was one of the nicest we have seen.
So few facilities offer 2 beds, a well thought out layout especially in the bathroom, and location near the elevator. The breakfast was typical for HIE but everything else was superior including the staff. We have stayed in Holiday Inns all over the country and this was in our top 2. More hotels should show the same regard for the disabled who shouldn't have to add accommodations that only pay lip service to ADA laws to the challenges they face.

Room was ready before check-in. Staff was outstanding. Jessie at the front desk gave me directions to certain places . He really knew the area. Breakfast ???? The best selection of food and lots of it. Great location between the Interstates and very quiet. Will book again when I am in the area.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times. The location is excellent, easy access to I-95, plenty of restaurants within less than a mile and a mall across the street.
More importantly, the staff is excellent. On our last stay the front desk guy took me back to the breakfast bar area so that he could give me cookies fresh out of the oven.
The rooms are comfortable and always clean and fresh.
We stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels almost exclusively and this is the best we have stayed at.

We arrived late in the evening during a bad storm; the staff that greeted us at the front desk couldn't have been any better. Service was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and most important...quiet. The staff at the breakfast area was great. She watched all of her stations and made sure things were in running order and containers always filled. Things that needed to be kept hot...were hot. This is not always the rule at other hotels. All of the staff needs to be commended for great service. Would stay there again if in the area.

As we indicated to the Front Desk Attendent, our room was
"highly fragranced" to the point of being uncomfortable.
Had there been another room available we would have relocated.

Stayed one night on company business. Room was very nice, clean, & comfortable - all the amenities you would normally expect. Location is within a hotel / restuarant / shopping district with many dining / shopping options. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
