I love this property. It right off of 95 and almost exactly half way between my house and Dads house. The only problem we had is the TV went out during Saturday Night Live (storms in the area). The wife and I go to the little church, St Annes, Sunday morning. Unfortunately that only gives us about 15 minutes for the breakfast. This year they where putting it away when we got back. I think it should be open later on the weekends.

We stopped here on a road trip to Charleston, SC. I booked online from my phone in the car. The hotel was very clean!! A must in my book. The staff was also extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was a bonus with plenty of choices. I was pleasantly surprised.

Holiday Inn Express Hotels are our choice of hotels when traveling. The Florence Holiday Inn Express is a great exmaple of the quality of the staff, cleanliness and confort that we enjoy. We highly recommend this hotel when traveling I95 in South Carolina.

The Holiday inn Express in Florence is conveniently located right off I-95 near tons of restaurants. The facility is kept clean and cheerful and the staff was exceptionally polite and professional. It was a pleasure to stay here. Only wish I had the time to stay a few days and enjoy the area.

Staying here is always a joy. All of the employees are so helpful and always smiling. They acknowledge you as soon as you walk through the door. They accomodate with anything that you need. This Holiday is always very clean and comfortable. It is easily accessible to restaurants and everything that you need.

We stayed here on our way home from Florida. The front desk clerk was really nice and everyone we encountered was great!
We got in late with 2 little ones and the desk clerk changed our room so we were closer to stairs.
Breakfast was busy, but kept clean and well stocked.

Requested an ADA wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. Room was not ADA compliant due to grab rails missing around toilet. There was a small grab bar placed above toilet paper holder which was used as a towel rack and placed too far forward to be useful. Roll in shower was perfect which also had a portable shower chair as well as a fold down bench.

Always get a friendly greeting at the various Holiday Inn Express properties, and this was no exception. The manager seemed read my mind and offered answers to questions before I could ask them. The first room assigned had a lock issue that was probably a 2 minute fix, but rather than make us wait even that long, she moved us to an upgraded room.
The location is perfect, with virtually any type of food nearby. The movie theater next door and the mall across 20 also make for a great way to relax after a long day of driving.

We stayed at this HI Express in the past. The staff is quick to address any questions or issues we have.. I left a note saying the mattress should be replaced and I feel quite sure it will be as the staff seems concerned for the guests' comfort. We will stay there again when we travel that way.

The facility and staff are as good as usual.....but, in today's environment how can you justify a 60% increase in the points required to be redeemed. As soon as my points are used, I will stay at a different hotel chain.....
short-term you get what you want.....but, long-term you loose me as a customer.

My husband and I stayed here on our way from NH for a southern vacation and found the staff particularly friendly & helpful.The room and breakfast were as we expected they would be- great, and we will definitely try to arrange our return trip home to stay here again.

Very please with my stay at Holiday Inn Express- Florence Civic Ctr while traveling on my way to Florida. The staff was friendly, the rooms were updated and very clean. The beds were comfortable and had a good nice sleep. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Would definately stay there again.

Very nice property and delicious breakfast. However, 2 disappointments we encountered:
1. Only one computer working at front desk, so even though 2 associates working the desk, it still took at least 15 minutes to wait in line to check in as five people already in line when we arrived.
2. We specifically chose this property because it had a Jacuzzi. However, after finally checking in and changing to our bathing suits, we found that the Jacuzzi was closed for routine maintenance...very disappointing as we'd been driving all day.

I travel extensively. I stay almost exclusively at Holiday Inn Properties. I stay at the Florence Civic Center HI-Express for a week every 6 or 8 weeks and have done so for the past 3 years.
I have never had a problem of any type at this hotel. The rooms are always exceptionally clean! The staff is friendly. The breakfast is outstanding.
In response to several other comments....
"They don't recognize me as a priority club member" - I have personally observed them many times welcoming people at the desk and commenting on their membership as well as providing the snack bag.
"They don't take reservations at the front desk" - This is true of almost all chains. It's real easy with Holiday Inn...simply call 1-800-HOLIDAY. I have found that when I am traveling and looking for a property if I call this number and identify my sell as a Priority-Platinum and give them my account email address, they can look everything up for me.
Overall, this is clearly one of the top HI-Express properties in the country.

A new job forced my travel to Florida from NYC during the holidays, THe area had any food choice i wanted within reach, convenient to 95S and North. Staff was so friendly i couldnt believe it I have stayed at 6 different Holiday Inn Express over the past two months and hands down, the staff here made me comfortable and happy in every way. This HIE would not take reservation at front desk, sent me to 800 number. This is very inconvenient when traveling as our GPS gives us the local number for hotels. Additionally, we were placed in a handicap room. I am finding that if I identify myself as a priority club member when making reservations instead of waiting until checkout that I am placed in a handicap room. We don't need this type room and would prefer a regular bathtub.

Front desk would not take reservation. Told us to call 800 number. Our GPS gives us the local number for hotels, this makes for longer reserving time while traveling and is not convenient.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Helped with supper options. Would have rather had a regular room instead of a handicap, do not like being given handicap rooms. The WiFi was very weak, worked on and off.

I stay in Florence often for business but when I am in town with my family we always stay at the HI Express at the Civic Center. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The staff has always been very nice to us and have always helped us when we needed anything. I travel extensively for business and just about live in hotels so trust me when I say this is one of the best. You cannot go wrong staying here.
