This was our first time to stay at the Florence/I95 Holiday Inn Express, but it was a wonderful stay. The room was great, the facilities wonderful and the staff was gracious, welcoming, and friendly.
We got a wonderful night's rest.

I am on the road over 230 days a year. The only place I stay is Holiday Inns or any of the IHG hotels because of the consistantly high standards. This hotel is no exception. Everything was top notch from service to cleanliness.

I am a business traveler and average staying at least 150 nights per year in hotels. My requirements are friendly, efficient front desk personnel at check-in, clean, quiet room, TV with channel selection quide provided and fast internet service. The Holiday Inn Express off I-95 & Hwy 327 met all of my requirements and I experienced a very enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this property if your travels take you to the Florence Area.

I stay at this hotel once a month for work. The staff is very professional and friendly, makes you feel at home on the road!
Great breakfest selection and they have coffee on early. This is very important when your up at 4am. Good job!

Young, friendly staff who didn't read my request for top floor. "Suite""was small with no couch. Nowhere to sit comfortablely. I noticed I could have saved 30 buck if I had looked at one of those hotel coupon books. I rarely look at those books because I feel you get what you pay for. This hotel needs updating and truth in advertising. Room amenities didn't even include lotion -- the only thing I use. Lousy coffee and cold cinnamon rolls. Use the local coupon book and pay $50. Because that's what it was worth.,

New facility that has not been maintained well. Staff not at the front desk. Milk was expired by 5 days. Please do an audit of facility. I will likely be forced to stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times during our vacation trips to FL. We enjoy the nice rooms, the pool and the breakfast setup. It is all done very well, especially with three children. We made our reservations ahead of time this year and then had an unforseen event occur, a death. When I contacted the hotel directly to cancel and ultimately reschedule our stay I was told the general manager would call me back to discuss. This never happend and the staff became rude when I questioned them on my second attempt to call and discuss the matter. Being a Priority Rewards member I would have thought I would be treated better.

Have stayed at this facility several times traveling between Florida and Virginia. Directly off I-95, well kept facility near needed gas and food. Highly recommend!

I had been at this hotel many times before including 4 weeks before and I was assigned the room with an ajoining wall with the elevator. Every time the elevator went up or down I was diturbed including being woke up.
I asked the clerk for another room and was informed no other rooms were available as they were sold out.
I asked why I was assigned this room and there was no real answer. My rate3 was adjusted but my confort was disturbed and i had a 10 hour drive the following day
The clerk did advise me to ask for a quiet room the next time. If this is a factor then you should ask that question and provide a check box on the reservation request.

Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful upon check in, even helped us locate a Pizza Hut for delivery in addition to recognizing me as a Priority Club member. Hotel is in excellent shape. Very comfortable and clean.

To start with, the check-in process was unacceptable. There was at least 5 people waiting to check in with one person behind the desk. The manager was in the office but never came out to help. I was not greeted as a priority club member ( I am a platinum member). The outside noise kept me up all night. On the positive side, the breakfast area was clean and well supplied and the staff there was very nice.

My daughter and friend stayed here on the way back home. She said the bed was comfortable, and although they didn't use the breakfast, she said it appeared to be pretty good. The item that most discouraged her is the fact that this property still has smoking rooms! What property still has these available? With her allergies to smoke, it made the stay overnight most uncomfortable. They slept and left as soon as they could get out of the room. Due to her sneezing and stuffed nose neither received a restful sleep to continue their journey home. They asked for a different room but couldn't get one and it was too late in the evening to search out another property especially not knowing the area and the reservation would have been charged money even though they were on points and, even if they did want to change to a different hotel and knew the area. I find this very unfortunate. My suggestion to the hotel is to disinfect the rooms as smoke attaches itself to the curtains, bedding, carpet and all other materials and go to a non smoking facility in the rooms. On top of this it is a fire hazard for the property to allow guest to smoke in their rooms. What happens if this guest falls asleep with a lit item in their hands. This is most discouraging for this property along with the 2nd hand smoke and fire hazard at the property itself. For CUSTOMERS considering staying here. MAKE SURE you are going to get a NON-SMOKING room and what are they going to do if when you get there they have none left because, they WILL charge you for the room even if you are staying on points (which she was). Better yet, I would stay away until they are all non-smoking rooms just for the safety of it.

It isn't acceptable to assume that because cables are available that you can advertise high speed availability. Many people, business and pleasure, rely on pads and phones that cables do not attach to.
We will be looking elsewhere for our future travel for annual vacation.

A good location for someone traveling I95. The location is very quiet especially in the back of the motel. There are not a lot of restaurant choices in the area but it also limits the traffic noise. The room and beds were comfortable. Each bed came with pillows labeled both soft and firm. The internet access was reliable and easy to use. The breakfast while adequate was not as good as some other locations which offered omelets. In addition the. pancake machine was broken while we were there. Eggs, sausage, juice, cereal, yogurt , bagels fruit and and pasties were available.

This review doesn't reflect on just this motel, it's all the Holiday Inn Expresses. I have to constantly have to sign into it. It knocks you off after a very short period of time. Extremely annoying.

Room not vaccumed prior to or during stay.
Loose hair gathered behind toilet.
Mirror in bathroom gross with food stuck on it.
Stains on duvee cover.
Returned to room ~3:30 pm to find housekeeper sitting at desk on the telephone.
Breakfast not ready at 6:30am.
Found out of date milk and yogurt.
No clean tables in breakfast area.
HouseKeepers eating breakfast in the breakfast area shouting to one another while no place for guests to sit.
No improvement to property or service over several stays at this property.

But to have a watered down version of coffee first thing in the morning, which is so important to many like us, is unconscionable! Follow it up with watered down juices, and luke warm sausage gravy, well, it kind of sets you up to be mean and ugly for the rest of the day.

We plan to use this hotel every year when we travel to Florida for the reason that it is quiet and comfortable after travelling almost 1,000 miles. We especially like the sausage and gravy that is available for breakfast.
We also received a Welcome bag, as we are Priority Club members and we have not received one for a number of years. from other Holiday Inn Express Hotels. It is a nice touch.

Main problem, which seems endemic to all Holiday Inn Express hotels, is the poor choice of breakfast buffet foods. They tend to be sugary cold cereals, pastries, pancakes and grits (in the South). Overloaded with carbs.
Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was cordial.

Front desk was not too knowledgeable when a couple found they were at the wrong hotel and didn't really try to hard to help them find the correct Holiday Inn they booked with. The morning staff was not at incarceration for over 5 minutes as I was trying to turn in my roo..key. I waited and then just left them over the counter. I walked to the pool area checked it out loaded my bags in my vehicle and got a cup of difference the individual when they returned from the restroom. the morning breakfast and the woman who was handling was very friendly and kept the area clean. She impressed me. The door on the room was very hard to close from the outside. When I left I could not close it and why I was trying to fin the clerk in the morning.
