Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by To suite or not to suite What this hotel calls a suite other hotels ( IHG) call a standard room. To me a suite is two rooms. A sleeping area and a lounging area. This particular hotel combines these into ONE room. Not cool. August 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Oasis in the AZ desert Our air conditioning went out late on a Thursday evening and we had to find a place to stay where we could take our two small dogs with us. My call to this hotel was simply due to the short distance to our home. However, after staying there, I found that I would drive further if needed to stay there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was kept very neat and clean. We enjoyed our impromptu two-night vacation until our air got fixed at home. July 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel My wife already sent in a great review so I won't repeat what she said. I will say that this property is over the top. I would rate it 20 on a scale of 1 to 10. Everybody from Desiree, the manager, on down is very professional and helpful. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds, pillows, and chairs. The Wi-Fi is easy to use and free. We stay at this property each summer and look forward to the stay. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, well and attractively stocked and delicious with a wide variety of food. Something for everyone to eat no matter how fussy you are. The business center is very good. July 17, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Only game in town if you want a decent hotel I've been staying at the HIE in Florence for 6 years now. This was the first time I've been disappointed. The staff was still wonderful; the hotel is immaculate but there seems to have been some kind of management adjustment. I always arrive on a Thursday and that is the night of the manager's appreciation night. There has always been complimentary appetizers or sandwiches along with free wine or beer. I always thought this was a classy touch. But this time they went on the cheap side; budget cut backs obviously. You could still get a beer or a wine, but no food. The ambiance they had in the lobby while this was going on was lost. Guests used to gather there and have a good time. I know several guests were expecting this and disappointed when it didn't happen. With a chain that makes as much money as the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express I'm disappointed they went cheap. Perhaps it is because the know there is only one small motel in town as their completion so they figure they have cornered the market so it doesn't matter. It may seem picky but I used to like being greeted as a Priority Club member...even if all I got was a bottle of water...nothing this time. Perhaps it is the all new staff...upon my check out I got a great greeting from Jeannie (sp?). She made me feel like I was in the old HIE in Florence. In the future, I will stay there because it is the only game in town and the accommodations are acceptable. But it won't be the same. July 2, 2014
