the room stated it was a king with a pull out and could sleep 4, however, the pullout is like a twin bed. I had a 11 and 9 year old and no way could they both fit on the pullout. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the pullout. When I went to front desk to get them all I could get was 4 sheets. All the pillows were gone and evidentlly all the blankets. My other room with two queens had four pillows per bed! The room temp when we arrived was at 66*..I turned it up to 73* and it still continued to blow cold air...there was no auto about it...it just kept running. The air freshener was very overpowering.. not sure if we were trying to cover up the smell of smoke or what.

HIE was clean, no issues there. Front desk staff was pleasant and friendly.
Beds were hard.... sore backs in the morning!!
Breakfast was shabby. Spend a lot of nights in HIE's and this was a weak spot. Cinnamon rolls were empty, so I asked the attendant if more were on the way. Being 30 minutes before closing, I figured this was an OK request. With a bit of an attitude he brought out one more pan of them. They were cold and uncooked/heated....
Bathrooms were small, door location entry into room was the problem.. so no fault of this HIE.

Family slept good, enjoyed the pool. The young man that chcked use in was very friendly and seemed to enjoy helping use.

Comfortable holiday inn, no laundry though, and we needed it. Pool was nice and comfortable. Nice stay before co to using to the keys.

Stayed here because of location to Keys and Coral Castle. This hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean , but the AC unit was fair. Paid for a "suite" , but room looked like a normal double queen bed room.
Staff at breakfast were Excellent.

The bed was great but the pillows could of been better. This has nothing to do with this particular hotel but Holiday Inn points system is not as good as their competitors in the same bracket.

We stayed here on the way to the Keys. So the location worked good for us. It was hard to get into the property due to all the fencing around it and the entrance being hidden.
The property is a typical Holiday Inn Express,

My husband and I had been out in the 90 degree heat and by the time we got to the hotel we were exhausted. The room was wonderfully cool, clean and quiet. We slept like babies.

The First room we got put in the air conditioner did not work, But they put us in another room which had air-conditioning and wasn't too bad. The hotel is a little out of date and is showing various signs of age, but overall the hotel is not too bad.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Both times were on a road trip to key west. I only stayed for one night both times. Both times the staff was very pleasant! The first time we stayed, we had kayaks with us and I didn't want to leave them on the roof of my car because we had borrowed them and I didn't want anything to happen to them, so the staff let us put them inside their storage!
The rooms were very clean both times!! Nothing gross or dirty about them. This time I did smell cigarette smoke in the elevator but the next morning I didn't smell it. Maybe a guest was smoking in it?? I also smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway this time so I don't know if smoking is allowed in some rooms and that's why or if a guest was breaking the rules. It wasnt a musty cigarette smell that had been there for years, it more smelled like someone was smoking at that moment. There was no smoke smell in my room. Personally I don't think they should allow smoking or at least have a designated floor, not rooms, for smoking.
The breakfast was better than I expected. Usually they include a continental breakfast but this one had eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. It wasn't the greatest tasting but much better than a donut!

When I first walked in I was a little worry. Lobby looked dirty but we needed a place to sleep so we stayed. I was happy with the room, bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast wasn't that good. Cereal was stale and bagel were hard as a rock. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly and helpful.
Overall I liked this hotel but they need to clean up the lobby.

Nach der Landung in Miami und vor Weiterreise zu den Keys haben wir dieses Hotel gewählt. Vom Flughafen ca. 1 Stunde.
Waren vor einigen Jahren schon mal hier. Verbessert oder verschlechtert hat sich nichts. Durchschnittliches Hotel mit den Standardzimmern von HI Express. Sauber aber nichts besonderes.
Drumherum sind einige Fast-Food Ketten und Publix bzw. Wal-Mart für den ersten Einkauf. Da direkt am Highway 1 kommt man einfach hin und weiter zu den Keys.

Everything was great until shower time. there was no hot water. went to tell front desk person and she said someone else just complained there was no hot water. She did not offer a discount on room or extra points. the location is great; service could be better. I wrote an email to customer service and still haven't gotten a response. Would i recommend staying at this Holiday Inn; yes, but check on hot water issue.

After a long day in the keys and sunset in Key West, drove back to Florida City and arrived around 11pm. Family was tired and ready to settle into the typical comfort of a Holiday Inn Express I've become accustomed to.
Don't stay at this hotel if comfort is what you are looking for!!
The room was old school, dark, damp and musty. The beds were of very poor quality as well as the towels and linens. When we got into the bed it felt damp as well as the carpet. Not inviting at all, especially after a long day.
I remember only thinking that I could just go to sleep and wake up and leave this nasty place.
Certainly not worth using any of your hard earned points on this place. I actually can't believe this hotel is in the HI Express chain.
By far, the very worst hotel in the HI Express chain I've ever spent a night at.
I will be requesting a refund of the points I used to spend one very forgettable night at this hotel.

First they sold us a room while their computers were down . We had to wait in the parking lot for 1 hour till we got a key.
Upon entering the room we noticed a rancid smell of smoke and puke . This must be the worst holiday inn express in the country!

I stayed for a total of 10 nights, and 4 out of those 10 mornings the breakfast meat and eggs were not ready by 06:45 when I had to leave. Breakfast was supposed to start at 06:30. Saturday and Sunday shouldn't count as I did not go down until around 08:30.
The overall room was comfortable. The bathroom was a little tight. I slept comfortably on the bed. The front lobby staff were very helpful.
There is a back gate to get on the road to go North, that was closed. It would have been nice if it had been opened so that we would not have to turn south out of the hotel and then do a u-turn to go back north.

Front desk person (Nancy) busy on her personal phone when we arrived and after we checked in (may have been texting). Did all the right things but very impersonal. Should have greeted us in a friendly manner and welcomed us to her hotel! Or at least a smile. The other front desk person was very friendly and had just returned from her dinner break. Toiiet paper and kleenex is of POOR quality. We enjoyed the breakfast.

This wasn't one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express's that I have stayed in. The lobby was very nice but was disappointed by the time we got to the elevator and to our floor. Room look old and dingy. The worst part of the room was the lumpy uncomfortable beds. The rooms weren't very sound proof either. You could hear kids running up and down the hall, doors slamming and people in their rooms. Luckily the noise died down by 10:00pm.

The service at this Holiday Inn was great. I was there for a long stay and the room was small, but adequat. I only complaint is the bed. The mattress i think needed to be replaced and the pillow top sheet they added to the top had some sort of plastic liner in it and I felt like I was sleeping on plastic. Into the night because of this the sheets would stick to you.
The breakfast was very good and the staff was great.

reserved 2 rooms and one was a suite. first room was still not cleaned at 5 pm got another room. the suite did not compare to other holidays. the day bed mattress was filthy and worn asked for another mattress and they said nothing avail. finally we said what about one from another room, they agreed to if no one checked in by 7:30. there was no sheets or pillows and they had to locate same. latter we asked for a blanket, answer was everyone is gone etc, again we said go to another room. I do not belive the front desk were trained in customer service.... i also sent a note to the priority club directly....

Was disapointed in the Holiday Inn Express Breakfast Selection. It isn't this particular Inn's fault the whole chain at the HIE's we stayed at had the same menu. The Oat meal was in a bag. You had to add hot water. Why not make up a batch and offer a few toppings!! Here we were in Flordia and the watered down Orange Juice was terrible. No fresh fruit. Why not an OJ and Grapefruit combination.

The mattress on the bed was bad. My husband's side had a hole that he feel into. He slept poorly as a result. Also found it expensive.

This does not appear to be a purpose built Holiday Inn. Normal conversations from adjacent rooms and hallways can be heard in your room. The TV system was disappointing with very limited selection of channels. Breakfast was ok and similar to other Holiday Inns. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk when we arrived. Apparently only one employee was on the premises and he had multiple duties. Not terrible but far from Holiday Inn standard.
