The hotel room was very clean and comfortable and only a ten minute drive to La Guardia airport. My only two issues were with the WIFI as it was very weak as it took quite a while for me to access the internet from my laptop; parking is very limited and cramped.

My stay was OK,
Two things that could be improved are, i am a gold priority member and had no recognition of this.
The other thing was I had to wait for 1 hour for the shuttle to come and get me from the airport which did not make sense when the hotel is so close. I was told it would only be 15 minutes wait.
The other improvement I would like to see would be to have a vending machine with sandwiches and other food available.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent Winter Stay in New York
We stayed here once before and decided to stay again for 5 nights. The staff at check-in was excellent after a long 13 hour flight to New York. The Front Desk (Marcela?) was very friendly, efficient and quickly acknowledge me as a returning customer and was able to get us the room we requested. The rooms were very nice, plush towels and convenient location to everywhere we wanted to go in Queens, Forest Hills and Flushing (New York).
Thank you again for a great stay. The morning coffee and breakfast were great ways to start each day. We'll be back soon.

I usually stay at Holiday Inn Express. I find the consistancy between one location and the next appealing.
However, if this was the first time I had ever stayed at a Hi express I would not return. Although the staff and shuttle service was very good, I was put off by their grossly overcooked omelets and uncooked sausage. The hot breakfast was the same every day.
Any hotel that would allow an egg dish to be served overcooked, i.e. the omeletes were literally brown from overcooking, either cares little for their guests or is poorly managed. my guess is poor management.
Since I am a platinum member I stay quite frequently at HI express. I have never been to a site that served the same poorly prepared and exact menu three days in a row.
Again the staff, other than the individual tending to breakfast, were very good. the room was clean and comfortable. But my experience with breakfast took a hotel chain I would normally rate at least a 4 and turned it in to a 2. If my only criteria was breakfast it would not even rate a 1.

Staff very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work for you. Hotel was very convenient to my duty station with easy in and out access to major roads. Shuttle service to airport, subway, mall and local restuarants was provided with minimal waiting time to go or being picked up. Hotel was recently renovated - so it has large rooms - mine had 2 double beds, office area, free high speed wi-fi internet, cable with premium channels, under bar refrigerator, and coffee pot. Microwave and utensils were available in lobby breakfast area. Would recommend to any traveler. Thanks and good job!

We stayed here before an early flight from La Guardia, and it was a pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful, and the shuttle was prompt. The room was clean. We would stay here again under the same circumstances.

The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable (very firm bed). The free breakfast hit the spot and was delicious. But, the icing on the cake has to be the shuttle van service. To have the fore thought to have a shuttle take customers to the nearest subway stop is genious and negates the fact that the hotel is not near a subway line. The competitor's solution is to point the customer to the nearest bus stop and tell them which bus to catch. I WILL stay here again.

I thought my husband was crazy when he decided to choose a hotel in NYC. To my surprise, it was a decent price, the room was very clean and cozy, and the staff were professional and friendly. The continental breakfast was a hit, although , by now you would think that there would be meat choices that include beef or turkey. Most people do not eat pork anymore. Other than that, we had an excellent stay. I would definitely stay in this hotel again as long as the price stays about the same.

This property is 10 minutes away from our son in Queens. We could stay at other places but this one goes out of their way to make you comfortable. We have stayed there eight times and they keep getting better and better. EVERYONE from George and the front desk people to Roberto the maintenance man, to the housekeepers, and even the van drivers they are ALL pleasant and wonderful. We do look forward to seeing our grandchildren but we also look forward to seeing our family at the Holiday Inn Express!
The only SMALL complaint we had was the tremendous rise in rates for a holiday weekend. Keep on doing what you are doing. You are a credit to Holiday Inns!

I was a sandy victim and stayed here for three weeks with my family. Being a new yawker and passing by this hotel on a daily basis I must admit I was a bit hesitant about staying here.
Let me state from the get go, this holiday inn could not have been more accommodating. All of the staff were most welcoming. I really cannot say enough about the front desk team, the breakfast ladies, the security guards and the room staff. I hope I didn't leave anyone out. WELL DONE.
The hotel was clean and location is great for local airports and an easy hop into the city. They provide a shuttle to a nearby subway, which I used on a regular basis
Hotel was very clean and always had a nice free breakfast.
It's not a vacation spot, just a great place begin and end your day at.
Everyone - the wedding was great. I will drop by to show you the pics..

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by STUPID Staff was rude and unprofessional. They demanded I put a credit card down when my room was direct billed.
I shouldn't have to enter something on every line to submit something to you either. This has been the worst experience with a Holiday Inn Express ever!

The area which the hotel is located is opposite a very busy bypass 24/7 it was about 15 minutes walk to the subway on our last few days we over heard a member of staff telling a customer that they had a bus that would drop you off (we was never told). The room service cleaning staff was excellent always happy and polite. However a good dusting wouldn't go a miss. The breakfast was ok.

This is my second time at this hotel, this time to visit family. My family and I spent 3 nights at this very clean, very centrally located hotel in the heart of Queens. We were on the 4th floor and didn't have any problem with noise. The room was clean and breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. We all went to the mall, which was awesome and only 5 minutes away on their complimentary shuttle. We were told that there was a museum and zoo close by, so we walked there! Flushing Meadows Corona Park, where 2 World's Fairs were held, is only 10 minute walking distance! We'd definitely recommend this hotel to friends since my family and I had an exquisite time in NYC.

This was hotel moved into first place on all time worst Holiday Inn experiences in my life. There was an odor in our room which was indescribably. I was afraid to take my clothes off. If it had not been so late I would have never stayed.

This is the worst experience I have had with noise disturbance while staying at a hotel. It is located no more than 50-100 yards from 495 (Long Island Expressway). I had a room facing the highway, so obviously my stay was horribly loud. I tried to switch rooms to the other side, but they were sold out and the only thing I got was "Sorry." Room was clean, but you need to request a room that DOES NOT FACE the expressway. I got 3 hours of sleep max. I even tried using earplugs, but still felt the vibration of tractor trailers buzzing by.
Oh, and not that it really matters, but I'm a Platinum member and wasn't given a bottle of water at the least. Front desk girl was on the phone with her Dad when I walked up. Maybe that's why.

Try to get room on car park side as road side is noisy.
No benefits for being Priority Club Plat, which some HIX's provide.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was an extremely pleasant experience. Typically when you check in and things are a bit busy, you get bitter front desk agents, but not at this property! I had a wonderful check-in, the housekeeper was great as well, and the manager was outstanding. He helped me switch to a more comfortable and quiet room. I was in NY for a very tough meeting, but staying here with the warm welcomes and nice faces, was very relieving. I would definitely stay here again.

The front dest staff was some of the best I have ever stayed with. The young man (I wanted to get his name but failed to) at check in helped us with dinner the night we checked in and with a car to take us to the city the next morning. My aunt left her sweater and the front desk staff again was wonderful. They found the sweater and was going to mail it to us at no charge but we were able to return and pick it up on the back to the airport. Please let them all know how much we enjoyed our stay because of them. The van service to and from the airport and dinner that night was excellent and very much appreciated. With 5 women (one of them 86) it was so nice not to have to take two cabs to and from the airport. Both of the van drivers were excellent and helped us all with luggage and getting in and out of the van. Great Staff

Staff persons were excellent and very friendly. Checked in with a large group and were hungry. Staff recommended several restuarants and shuttle took us there and picked us up. Great people and service, very friendly and helpful on several issues. Desk personnel were great.

We went to a party and checked in around midnight on a Saturday only to find no parking available on the lot. There were three cars of us, one found parking on a nearby street, and the other two were asked to double park and leave their keys. Once we checked in we found out the elevator was out of order and we were on the 5th floor. 2 staff members offered to carry all of our bags but that didn't solve our problem of having to walk up 5 flights of stairs. They were very accomodating with our requested resolution.

I stayed Friday night 9/14 for work in Bayside. The hotel is what it is, off the highway but convenent to everything in the neighborhood. It is quick on and off the highway, and is central to most of Queens. The breakfast was hot and quick, no issues. The room was a little small, but the bed was comfortable and not noisey at all, and I faced the highway. I would stay again when working down in Queens
