The parking lot is a little cramped, and the breakfast area was cramped and uncomfortable but the customer service was top notch and the room was clean and comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First time at HIE LaGuardia I arrived late (11:45PM +), called the hotel for the shuttle, they picked me up within 15 minutes despite a "bottle neck" of cars parked to pick up arriving passengers. Hotel staff (Eric) was very efficient and friendly in checking me in. Room was clean, nicely appointed and relatively quiet even though I was in a room right by the elevator. Check-out was quick and easy. I asked the staff to call a taxi for me; she called a town car with no signage. He was a little expensive and I prefer regular taxis, but it was OK. Next time I'll ask for a taxi, not a town car. I'd definitely return. October 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappointed I have stayed at a number of Holiday Inn Expresses and this is the first time I can honestly say I was very disappointed. If I return to the NYC area, I will travel a little further to the airport and stay at another Holiday Inn Express! While the facility and rooms were clean and well cared for, the staff, some of whom attempted to argue with me on more than one occasion, were not near as friendly and accommodating to their Platinum members as has been my experience at other HIE properties. The clerk who checked us in told me upgrades for Platinum members were not available at this property and while they would give me a discount, they wanted me to know they were breaking all the rules by doing so. We experienced problems with room assignment when one of our group members opened the door of what was to be a king room and found double beds, and one of our group members discovered her room had been assigned to a second guest when she was in bed and a family entered her room while she was sleeping. When she went down to the desk to get her key card changed, the desk clerk attempted to convince her there was no need to provide her new keys for the room as the family had been assigned to another room and would not be re-entering her room! We were also very disappointed in the breakfast experience at this site. The breakfast room is extremely small, poorly arranged, and unable to accommodate all the guests eating on any of the three mornings we were at the hotel -- with the overflow of people eating having to sit and stand in the lobby to eat their breakfast. It also appeared as though they were trying to cut corners by not offering gravy for the biscuits, cheese in the omelets, etc. When compared to a budget or discount hotel, our experience at this property was not bad -- but certainly not the quality and standard we've come to expect from Holiday Inn Express! The hotel was beautiful and very clean. My only complaint would be that the room was a bit small. With that being said,they more then make up for the size of the room with the customer service and cleanliness!! I would recommend this hotel to all! Thank you for a great experience!!! The staff is pleasant, and the front desk very helpful, especially Eric. The shuttle service is awesome--subway, mall, airport, and will even pick you up after dropping a rental car. We never waited more than 10 to 15 minutes for the shuttle. Many choices available for breakfast. Limited parking, but we were able to park in the lot. It took us a few tries to locate because we could not bring up on our GPS. Follow the directions from the hotel website exactly. The hotel comes up quickly. I was too busy watching the traffic, as to why we missed it. One of the lower priced in the area. Clean. Nosier on highway side, but after long days in the city, we did not even notice. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Posted on Tripadvisor I was in New York to attend a funeral. The Holiday Inn Express was exactly what I needed. From the complementary shuttle service at the airport and mall/subway with Abdool, to the nice greeting from Caroline at Check-in. The Room was clean and the housekeepers checked with me every one day to see if there was anything I needed. For the record everyone on the hotel staff was friendly to me. Also, Eric gave me a great recommendation for an Italian restaurant. I will stay there next time I am in New York August 7, 2013

The drivers were friendly and never had to wait too long to be picked up or dropped off. When we arrived, they didn't have a room ready for us and explained that we had a walking tour in The Village and had only about an hour to get there. The customer service girl called the manager and within a few minutes we got a room! The room was clean, beds were comfortable and it was quiet on the 4th floor. August 5, 2013

The shuttle to and from LGA is handy though the 1st time I took it, it took nearly an hour to get to the airport. This last time, less than 10 minutes! The shuttle also goes to the subway and it's a great service. The OJ machine was broken this time around but they had OJ for us by request. It's not the quietest hotel but it's not their fault they're near the airport! August 4, 2013

Hotel provides free on-site parking. When exploring NYC, the hotel provides a shuttle ride to the subway about five minutes by van or a 20 minute walk. Rooms are clean and quiet with a decent morning breakfast. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful and can provide printed directions. July 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst Holiday Inn Express Ever Do not stay here unless you want left in the dark in the middle of the night waiting for a shuttle bus that never shows up on time. Most of the staff are not able to have fluent conversations or understand what you are asking for. I had a very bad experience here, I'm still haunted by the shuttle driver flying by me at 40 miles an hour, watching my son try to chase the shuttle down and watching him drive away at 12:30 AM.
