When I made my reservation, I made it at a higher rate than my co-workers were paying, with the intention of getting it changed later (didn't want the hotel to fill up first#. I neglected to do so #my fault), so when I was checking in, I asked to get the same rate as the others. Not only was I denied, I was treated with utter disdain and a complete lack of courtesy by the manager on duty, despite my Priority Club Platinum status. I can accept the higher rate, but what I will not tolerate is rudeness. Ordinarily I would not have stayed there due to her attitude, but I had no choice due to the lack of reasonable alternatives in this small town. Won't be going there again...

The room was clean and comfortable. All the ammenities worked as designed. The staff was polite and efficient. The breakfast could have had more variety, but was well-stocked and tasty. I would recommend this motel for anyone looking for value instead of high end decor. All the basics at a fair price. Does anyone know why they place the rooms with handicap access the longest distance from the elevator?

The Holiday Inn Express is clearly the best place to stay in town - hands down. From the moment you arrive the staff does whatever it can to make your stay the best it can be. The wireless has never failed me and the work space is comfortable and large.

My wife and I had to come to Spindale, NC last to attend the funeral of my sister. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Forest City. The staff was very friendly and professional, the room was well kept, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and filling. It was coveniently located to restaurants and everything else we needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be staying in that area anytime.,

Great staff - very helpful. One area for improvement is the fitness center, the treadmill is in poor shape and really should not be in service. Perhaps it's time for a more reliable machine.

This was my first trip to this property, I was traveling to the area to provide an educational program for local paramedics. I felt the nightly rate was too high, but the bedding was comfortable, the rooms spacious, the breakfast selection plentiful. I will be in the area again in Jan. - April, if I can get the rate down I'll be staying there again, if not, I'll check into the Jameson or the Quality Inn.

The Folks at Forest City, NC did a great job for us. We arrived late and they made the check-in and changing rooms simple, hazzle free. The next day the roof was being repaired, which we were unaware; and they again moved us to another room and we appreciated this so much. I understand roofs need repair sometimes and that was not an issue. The team including housekeeping too great care of us and complimentary breakfast was great every morning.
