They picked us up promptly from the airport and brought us directly to the hotel. The location was great, close to restaurants, the port and shopping for last minute items before the cruise. Overall a great experience for my party, and we will definitely use the hotel again in the future as well as recommend it to friends and family who may be cruising from Port Everglades. May 10, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff provided misinformation We chose the hotel for its proximity to the cruise terminal. I called from the airport and we were picked up by the shuttle in a timely fashion. We had to do an extra lap about the airport terminals for other guests, but the driver was courteous. Our actual stay was pretty average, except for misinformation we received from the front desk staff about ground transportation to the cruise terminal. We inquired at the front desk about walking to the terminal (billed as a block away from the hotel) and were told that was discouraged for security reasons. When offered ground transportation through a shuttle service at $8/person ($16 total for us), we said we would take a cab. The person at the front desk said that cabs could not drop off at the terminal and that the meter started at $10, but we booked a cab anyway because the latest shuttle departure time put us at the terminal earlier than we wanted to be there. We took a cab (for less than $10) and were dropped off right at the terminal and I saw no indication that we wouldn't have been able to walk. I was very disappointed that the desk staff either outright lied to us about transportation options or was woefully uninformed. I suspect the hotel has a deal with a shuttle service and the staff resorted to dishonesty to get us to use their overpriced service. Additionally, we had time between checkout and when we had to be at the terminal and were disappointed that the breakfast area was closed and we had nowhere except the very small lobby to sit and wait. We were able to store our luggage in the meeting room until our cab arrived. Finally, I wasn't thrilled with the limited fresh/healthy breakfast options and was disappointed that there was no fresh lemon for my tea. If we cruise from Fort Lauderdale again, we'll probably stay at an IHG property farther from the port and hope it's up to the usual standards. May 4, 2016
