I sent the General Manager (Barbara) an e-mail two months prior to my arrival. No response from her. I then sent her another e-mail one month prior to my arrival. Still no response. I then called her one week prior to arrival and was told that she was in a meeting. I left a message with the Front Desk for her to call me. No return call from her. I finally called her 3 days prior to arrival and had to leave another message. She did not return my call that time either. If this is the attitude that the General Manager displays, you can see why the communication between her and her staff is greatly lacking. We were in room 210. The hallway to the vending area and housekeeping storage closet ran directly behing my bed. Every morning, I could hear the vacuum cleaners being rolled across the tile in that area, which woke me up. The night before my departure, I arranged for the hotel shuttle to take me to the airport. When I arrived at the front desk 10 minutes prior to my scheduled shuttle, I was told by the desk agent that the shuttle was being brought up from the parking lot. I waited 25 minutes for that shuttle. To my surprise, the front desk agent that I spoke with was the driver. With the long security line at the airport. I almost missed my flight. I will not recommend this hotel. I am also sending a letter to Sage Hospitality, which is their management company.

We used this Holiday Inn Express the night before a cruise. The front desk staff was extremely friendly.
The hotel room wasn't anything fancy, but it was clean and the bathroom was well stocked with shampoos, conditioners, etc. After unloading our luggage we headed out to eat, but our hotel door would not lock. I called the front desk and immediately someone came up to check out the situation. When they decided they couldn't fix the door right away, they immediately moved us to another room.
This hotel is in a great location with many dining options. Don't just stick to the restaurants you see out your window. Just a block away, in a little shopping plaza, is a couple restaurants. And if you want to walk another block there are even more.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express.

Friendly, clean & comfortable. The perfect location to begin and / or end a cruise. Front desk staff, especially "Everett" went out of their way to make this location the perfect place to stay.
Breakfast was much above average. There are a good selection of restaurants in the immediate walking area.
