Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice four night stay We just returned from our four night stay at the Holiday Inn Express - The Forum in Ft. Myers. For those who are looking for a quick snapshot - the hotel is extremely clean, the breakfast is fresh and diversified and it is centrally located. The only drawback was the loud air conditioner at night. Overall would stay there again in the future. Our family stayed at this location over Fourth of July weekend. Given that the hotel was sold out due to youth boy's baseball and girl's softball tournaments in the area it was surprisingly quiet throughout the hotel. There was plenty of breakfast items throughout the morning and the hotel's staff did a great job while we stayed there. Our room was room 301 - a standard King room located at the end of the hallway. The staff thankfully provided us with a roll away bed for our son as there wasn't a fold-out couch in our room (not sure if that is the case in every room). The room itself, while not huge, is well laid out and was clean. One note is that this room does not have a bathtub as it may have been a handicap room in the past (but is not listed as such now). Our only complaint was that the air conditioner was very loud during the night. By the third night we ended up trying to freeze the room before bedtime and then leave it off for the night. Not sure if this is the norm or not, but it was for room 301. In addition to free breakfast and internet, the hotel has plenty of ice machines and two guest laundries if that is necessary for you. The hotel is located just off of I-75 and is about 15 minutes from the airport. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings, a Five Guys Burgers, a Starbucks and a couple of other small restaurants within walking distance across the street. There is also a Target and Home Depot right across the street. At the end of the day we certainly will stay there again in the future. July 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent hotel could not be faulted for staff, facilities, and service. As i said excellent hotel only problem I had as a tourist was the location, middle of nowhere 30 to 40 min drive to beaches which is the only thing that would put me off from going back otherwise hotel was fine. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Absolutely perfect for the occasion We had no reservation and needed a place to stay for the night during a recent baseball tournament in Ft. Myers. I called 5 minutes before we arrived. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful and checked us in in less than 10 minutes. She recommended some restaurants for dinner and brought up extra blankets within 10 minutes and would not accept a tip. Perfect hotel for our purpose. July 9, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unfortunate timing The hotel and staff were great. The breakfast was nice also with a cool pancake machine. Unfortunately, there were a lot of kids (basketball tournament) there which I did not mind until around 10pm when my family of four were sleeping and the fire alarm went off. Apparently one of the kids pulled the fire alarm thinking it was funny. Still not laughing!!!! June 18, 2014

Combine this with the affordable rates and a great breakfast the HIE The Forum is the only hotel I'll be staying at. It's nice to feel at home while on the road. June 17, 2014
