Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Air quality concern The hotel has a pervasive odor of air freshener. We removed the plug in freshener in our room on our arrival because it was too strong. 3 days later, the room still had the odor, causing a sore throat and chest congestion. The garbage out doors, was over flowing on arrival and remained that way through our stay. Room keys required re-programming 3 x. On a positive note, the breakfast was very good with attentive staff, and clean area. On a negative note, there is is room for improvement in areas above. It concerns me greatly about the air quality, and I would not choose IHG again if not assured of clean air. December 15, 2013

Our room smelled like smoke so they upgraded our room to a suite and turn a bad experience into an excellent one. Love the hotel and the service! November 9, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible house keeping I had many issues with the house keeping. I stayed there for 17 days on a business trip and the cleaning staff did not meet the standards that I am used to at a holiday inn express. They left my room door open one day when I got home from work. They would leave my old sheets on the floor of the room. They left a bag of trash on my desk and a used rag on my counter. Additionally there was no cold water. The only choices I had were hot or steaming hot. When I checked in I was not recognized as a gold member or given a free bottle of water. I was asked if I wanted one but I was never told it was free. There was also always a shortage of quarters at the front desk when I wanted to do laundry. October 24, 2013

Grabbing bottled water we went to the room and it was clean, and the bed was a dream. The staff was warm and friendly even at that hour of the day. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could not get the right temperature in my room I am business traveler & stay at hotels at least 7 nights a month. I do not expect much & have stayed at Holiday Inn Express before. Normally the bigger chains meet my expectations, but this hotel did not. I could not get the temperature that I set on the thermostat to stay at the setting. My first night was miserable as it became warm rather than the cold setting I preffered. I stopped at the front desk in the morning to ask to have it looked at as well as requesting housekeeping NOT to service my room. When I returned in the evening, my room had been serviced & the thermostat was still not working. I called the front desk & they advised me that the thermostat was programmed & this was why my adjustment woul not stay. This was ludicrous! Why would you install programable thermostats in guest rooms when everyone has their own preferences? Also on top of this, the hotel provides a passcode to access the wireless internet. Everytime I turned my smartphone on, I had to keep re-entering the code. Between the lack of comfort & the lack of servi ce, I do not recommend this property. October 5, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Service. First and foremost the entire staff was exceptional friendly and sincerely interested in our comfort. The breakfast area was clean and food was hot. This is our first experience with Holiday Inn Express. My wife was surgery on 9/3 at a local clinic. Because of that we needed a double queen suite. The staff went the extra mile to provided us with a handicap room. The room was clean and close to the elevator. The internet had a hard wire as well as wireless connections and it was much faster than a lot of hotel/motels. The beds were comfortable with a choice of firm or soft pillows. The parking lot was well lighted and close to the entrance. The downside was that the hotel is smokeless but the first night my wife and I both were amazed and concerned about the strong cigarette smoke odor in the area of our entrance door and bathroom. I called the front desk and complained. The odor lasted approximately 30-45 minutes. It either came from outside our door or from the exhaust vent in the bathroom. We did not notice the smoke the second night. My wife has a lung issue and smoke causes her to have difficulty breathing. The shower had a sliding shower head but when the slide tube was wet the head would not stay in any position but on the bottom of the slide tube. I had to take a towel and tie it in the up position. We would stay there again without any hesitation. September 24, 2013

Myers East-The Forum on August 24 and 25th of August 2013, the staff at this hotel were very helpful, caring, courteous, friendly and made feel wanted and I returned to the same hotel on September 13th to the 15th because my house was being tented in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and still recieved the same awesome service in my opinion guests that stay here truly come first. Thank You to everyone at the Holiday Inn Express Ft. I know they offer hard and soft choices, but they should offer a third choice and that is foam pillows as well. I can never sleep well at any hotel due to the pillows. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Service and Very Clean Facitity The staff at this location provided service that is on par with a 5 Star hotel. 1st - They recognized my Platinum Priority Club Status without any indication on my part. 2nd - Even though I used rewards points to pay for the room they still gave me a free room upgrade. This upgrade is not required by Rewards Club policy when paying with points and most IHG hotels will not do it. 3rd - The Mgr on duty could see that I was very tired and asked if it was a long trip. I told her that I had been on the road for 22 continuous hours. She then told me that she would make sure I was not disturbed. The next morning my wife was having breakfast and the Mgr. asked her how I slept. My wife told her I was still out for the count. To that the Mgr said she understood why and my wife could let me sleep in later than the normal check out time. When I did not check out at 12:15pm I was not charged for an additional day. As well as having a Fantastic staff and very clean facility this Hotel is located within 1 mile of no less than 20 restaurant and two shopping strip/malls. I will be staying at this hotel every time I am in the area even if it means I have to drive additional miles to do so. June 1, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The King Bed Rooms If you stay here anytime soon do not expect to be able to get a microwave or fridge in your room. After we checked in and unpacked my husband needed the microwave for a medically required procedure, but we were told in order to have one we would need to move to another room. A little inconvenient, but we could use the one in the lobby. Not exactly convenient either. Apparently this is a temporary problem until they finish remodeling, but be forewarned for now, no mention of this was made on the website. April 22, 2013

My experience at the hotel was really good. first when I arrived on the checking was acknowledge as priority club member and provided with bottle waters and cookies. the staff was friendly and the room was nicely decorated, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast buffet was good as well. overall a good experience. It is two minutes away from NSU, across the street from Starbucks and several places to eat. Plenty of parking that is secure and well lit. The property was clean and new. Room had everything. Front desk called to make sure I had everything I needed, told me about free printing if I needed it, breakfast times, and extended my checkout time so I could shower after my morning interview. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ft Myers We arrived at 1:30 pm. There were no available rooms yet . I understand that it was probably a busy weekend. We were given our room about 2:30 pm. A very comfy room. We unfortunately picked a weekend that was popular with sports competitions. All night all we heard were doors slamming shut from the teenagers moving from room to room.. The breakfast buffet is horrible! The only good things are the bagels and. The cinnamon buns. Could be a good place to stay. March 15, 2013
