Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick, one night stay The Holiday Inn Express is a very good choice for a quick stay. It is extremely convenient to both I-95 and the Florida Turnpike and is far more appropriate for a stop over on a road trip than a vacation destination. The hotel is relatively new and is quite comfortable. The biggest issue with the hotel was the poor quality of the breakfast. The eggs were horrible and the sausage patties should be sent to the NHL for use as hockey pucks. I suppose if you select the cereal your experience would be different. Would I stay here again? Absolutely yes with the caveat that I eat breakfast elsewhere. June 12, 2014

The Interstate is near the building, but the noise was never a disturbance. Hotel staff was not hovering or bothersome, beds were comfy. June 10, 2014

Was greeted by Chantelle and was one of the most friendliest staff I have ever encountered on any IHG property. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean & comfortable. We stayed at this property the night of 3/23/14. The accomadations were very nice. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast bar was good with a fairly good variety. When we arrived at Port Everglades the next day for our cruise departure, we realized that we left one of our bags at the exit door of the hotel. We telephoned the hotel and they assured us that they would hold our bag (had lots of things in it that we thought we could not make it without on the cruise-makeup, Kindle, hair products, etc.). We telephoned the hotel once we finished the cruise. Shantell had the bag waiting for us. She was very sweet and helpful. We fixed a cup of coffee and continued our trip home. The hotel is 1 1/2 hours from the Cruise Ship Port. It is right off I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. March 30, 2014

We'd stay there again. In fact, we would have on this trip, but their Weekend Rates are substantially higher than their Sun - Thurs. March 17, 2014

The sausage was over cooked on the sausage days and the bacon was soggy if it was even out on the bar. I thought maybe my first stay back in the fall was a possible anomaly, but after this last stay I am convinced this is one of the poorest Holiday Inn Expresses in the south east. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service We had to go on this trip. My husbands mother passed away. We called directly to the hotel and we got the room we needed. I have to have a disability room. I got the room and it was very nice,and most of all it was clean. There was only one thing they must work on, our phone in our room would not work. The maintance man came to our room twice. It was a on and off dial tone, not ever one has a mobile phone. October 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really quiet rooms and comfortable We come here quite a bit, at least 3/4 times a year, we choose this hotel after leaving Miami and or before returning to Miami to rest up before a long flight, it's convienient and close to the turnpike and there are various good restaurants close by where we don't have to restaurant hunt and as well as a Walmart right down the road if we need to buy something... The staff is always friendly and helpful...THANKYOU holiday inn and please don't raise your prices, we always make your hotels our first choice... THANKYOU!!! September 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by AC requires you to move around. :( The AC units require that you continuously move around the room in order to stay on. So even though I set the fan from AUTO to HI, meaning the fan would stay on, during the night since I was sleeping the fan and the entire AC unit shut down and reset to a high temperature as though no one was in the room. I am sure this isn't the design, but nevertheless it is what is happening. So several times I had to get out of bed during the night and turn the AC unit back on. I tried leaving the fan on auto, tried it on Hi and tried it on low. Nothing worked. It just kept going back to sleep, which I was NOT able to do! Additionally, there was NO recognition as I recall of being a priority member and no goody bag. While that is nice, the comfort and hospitality is nicer and being in a hot room is what really was not good. August 26, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms were to hot The policy of this hotel to only keep their room with the air conditioner off until one gets to the room and one having the only option to lower the temperature to 68 degrees farenheight when the temperature outside is almost 100 degrees was unacceptable. The room didn't cool until 4 or 6 hours later and it was not to my satisfaction (I like the room to be super cold). The manager and the staff was very courteous and try to move me to another room which the manager find out with me that the other rooms were also hot and the ac wasn't turning on when someone got into the room as is supposed to do. I will change my rating of this hotel when the issues with the air conditioner are resolved. August 15, 2013
