Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable the only derogatory comment I have is that the ice machine down by the elevator was making so much noise that not only could I hear it all the way down the hall I could here it thru the ventilation in the bathroom of our room. However, it did not carry all the way out into the room and we were still able to get a very comfortable nights sleep. November 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mildew First room had heavy smell of mildew, 2nd was ok. Yogurt was lite only, which has chemicals I cannot eat. No breakfast items for gluten free diet. Such as grits or corn cereals . Pool was closed for construction Not one of the better one I have stayed in. October 27, 2013

Also, there was noise (installation of deadbolt) coming from the office across the way of my rm 115, as I was attempting to rest during the early to mid afternoon hours. October 18, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Out of Order For a fairly new hotel, this Holiday Inn Express was poorly maintained. The ice machine, guest laundry and pool restrooms were all out of order. The pool was dirty and missing several tiles. To top it all off, the pool light was sitting on the cracked pool deck with the exposed wiring still connected in the pool. September 15, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude service at check-in The lady working the check-in desk was very rude and could not find our reservation at first and after I give her the confirmation number for the reservation still could not find it. After that I ask her if there was a room available and she just looked at me like I was asking the impossible for her to look for an open room. Finally after doing nothing for a few minutes she looked at a stacked of papers with door cards in them and found my name. This lady is not happy in her work. I will not use this Fort Stockton Holiday Inn Express again. September 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Service and Rude Employees Price paid for this hotel was much too high. Had to come here because their sister hotel didn't honor our reservations. Wouldn't match the price from the other hotel either. We returned to our room the next evening after a long day out to find that our room had not been serviced. We had no clean towels, the beds were not made, we had no coffee, etc. We went down to the front desk and were told that it was too late and there was nothing they could do about it. It was only 9 pm. Finally the clerk was persuaded to at least give us some clean towels. Also noticed at breakfast that the milk in the breakfast room was two weeks past it's expiration. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy... This hotel was the most expensive Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed in so far. When I asked the desk clerk why, she basically told me "because we can." This same clerk was smoking a cigarette outside the front door when I arrived. When I walked in, she came in behind me. Needless to say there was a heavy smoke odor coming from her and her clothes. With the form a guest has to sign saying they are a non smoker, the hotel employees should abide by the same rules. I went to go for a swim in the pool...the sides and bottom were covered in brown algae, so I was unable to go in (I have pictures if you'd like to see them). I guess the combination of bad attitude, high price and non accessible pool really gave me a bad impression of this hotel. August 24, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very comfortable and a very warm welcome from staff We took a seven week trip around the United States and plan to take another one next year within the eastern United States. Will use Holiday Inn as my primary hotel found these to be the best for comfort and relaxing after a long day of driving. Pay a little more it is worth it. Besides the breakfast is really great. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok but not quiet at all Amenities and layout of the Ft Stockton facility are standard. This issue with this particular location is that the walls are thinner or lack insulation. Everytime I stay here, I can clearly hear the rooms adjacent to me and the footsteps of the above rooms. I get irritated every visit. I've decided to stay at the Candlewood from now on. May 29, 2013

We know that it is always friendly, courteous, clean, and well maintained. Actually, I plan all of our trips between Holiday Inn Express Hotels. The service and the breakfasts are always excellent. A little after 10:00 p.m., I placed a call to the front desk complaining that the neighbors were extremely noisy for "quiet time" with no apparent change in noise levels. My husband was unable to fall asleep because of the disturbances. Thank goodness the beds were not on the common wall and the fitness room was on the other side. Around 4:00 in the morning we were woken up with the guest above us pacing back and forth this lasted for about 20 minutes.. On our return trip, we stayed at a competitors facility for 1/3 the price w/o the above problems. We did enjoy the breakfast offered and the fitness room. May 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK We stayed at HIE in several cities on our drive to and from Edinburg, TX. This particular property was my least favorite of all of them. We were told that the rooms were being renovated, hence, the reason for the horrible smell that permeated throughout the hallways and into our room, when we complained. We were told that we could open our window if we did not like the smell. I could not wait to get out of there the following morning! May 16, 2013
