While the property is under remodel and some conditions were less that expected the staff and management made me feel welcome and wanted during my stay. Front desk was knowledgeable about local fair and entertainment. Extra towels were needed during my stay and were provided within a few minutes. I frequent this property for business and experienced the remodel and staffing changes over the last few months as a positive change for this hotel. While other guests have mentioned what they feel are high rates at this property they are well below the oil field rates only a short drive to the north, a great value for the location.

Front desk Brandy was outstanding. Very clean extremely comfortable beds. Far better than our fancy Plaza Hotel in downtown San Antonio

But a tad pricey, the West Texas oil boom is undoubtedly responsible. All other place were higher as well. this one is a gem and the staff are first class.

This hotel is filthy starting with the parking lot all the way to the room. The parking lot (concrete) is covered with mud, gravel, grease, oil and debris. Careful where you step or you might track mud, grime and oil inside your clean car. The halls have a very peculiar and unpleasant odor. Reminds me of a few homes I've visited over the years that were infested with roaches, however I did not see any evidence of rodents or pests. The rooms are not cleaned well if at all. Our room had a bar of soap from the previous guest, still in the shower. That's enough to tell me the housekeepers are not doing their job. The room also smells like the halls, had to open the window. When we returned today from an outing, the room had been serviced but some of the bedding was still on the floor though the bed was clearly made. More evidence of the low level of cleanliness in this hotel. This is why I carry Lysol with me. The business center is a joke. The computers are broke as well as the printers. If you need to print an itinerary or a spreadsheet, bring your own printer. Overall I'd say this hotel is typical of those in the oil patch, dirty and staffed with inattentive people who couldn't get a job in the oil field. The only bright spot in this entire facility is the breakfast. Though basic, it is pretty decent as far as hotel breakfasts are concerned.
