We came in town for a concert at Billy Bob's and this place was in a perfect location. The shuttle was great even though they would not call ahead and get the shuttle ready. So if I wanted to shuttle for 8pm, I could not come down and get in at 8 to leave. You had to be downstairs waiting before they would even call. This was about a 15-20 minute wait, but our driver tried to make up for it. :)
There were four of us in the room and they only had 3 of each towel so we had to call and ask for another. This could be easily be checked before customers arrive.
Breakfast was good. The eggs were watery so we stayed away from those but for a "free" breakfast it was not too shabby.
You have to pay for parking which is a little silly. The "garage" is full of obstacles and it is very hard to park or get out of. We should have taken our chances in the offsite parking.

This was the 2nd time we had stayed at this hotel in 3 weeks. My company requires us to stay at IHG properties and they are normally clean, quiet, and safe. The hotel lobby was very nice and check in was smooth. We went up to our room on the 2nd floor to rest for an hour because we had spent all day at the Art Festival. Almost immediately 2 yappy dogs next door started barking and did not stop for the entire hour. When we went to leave another couple was standing at the elevator complaining about how loud they were. My husband stopped by the front desk and they said they would call the owners. We got back around 10:30 that night and they were STILL barking. This lasted 15-20 minutes before the owners showed up and it stayed quiet until Sunday morning. We were awoken at around 8:40 when the owners left again and guess what the dogs went crazy again the entire time we were showering and getting ready. If a hotel is going to allow pets they should give their guests an option before they put them in a room beside a dog. There should also be a protocol for when they cannot reach the owner or if the owner does not take action. This resulted in very little sleep and we were surprised by the lack of effort on the part of the hotel staff to address the issue. This was also the 1st IHG property in almost a year who did not acknowledge the fact that I was an IHG rewards club member.

Unlike the bulk of the Hotels available in the area in and around the Holiday Inn has a recognizable name and the promise of at least being predictable. In truth, while most Holiday Inns are three star hotels ready to meet the minimums for a family stay, this one is a four star gem and currently holds the status of the finest Holiday Inn I have ever seen, and one of the finer hotels I have seen.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful during my stay. They seemed to express a genuine interest in my being pleased with the hotel.

A good example of a Holiday Inn. Great rooms, located right downtown. The only downside is out of their control, there is no restaurants in walking distance. Otherwise, a great stay.

Great location with walking distance to downtown. Easy access to freeway. Excellent amenities and the staff understand customer service. Hotel provides a complimentary shuttle within a 3 mile radius of the hotel.

They advertise a free shuttle to the Stockyards that runs until 2:00 am, but when we got there we were told they only run until 11:30 pm. We waited 30 minutes for a shuttle to the Stockyards around 8:00 pm only to find out it was full. We had to take a Taxi both ways at a cost of $25 each way. In the room it even says they run until 2:00 am.
Rooms were very small.

Only complaint was that the hot tub was not working and the indoor pool water was pretty cold!
