I stay almost exclusively at Holiday Inn Express hotels.
Most rate well. This one in Ft. Worth is OK. While the location is convenient for business, it is somewhat difficult to access due to Freeway construction - no fault of the property.
However, the AC unit in my room was very noisy and disruptive throughout the night. Also, I rarely hear my neighbors at a HIE, but in this case I could hear heavy footsteps thumping in the room above me and in the hall above me until late in the evening. The construction of this facility must not be as good or as soundproof as others.
One front desk attendant was not overly, but the one in the morning more than made up for it and proved to be very friendly and helpful.

Food that was suppose to be hot was cold. Health department would have shut the food area down.

Great stop and a great location! Love the beds. Hotel atmosphere is very upscale for the HIE brand. Would definitely stay there again.

It was very nice place to stay. We arrived late and we were checked-in quickly. Everyday staff was very friendly. Manager's social hour was a pleasant surprise. A couple things to look at is conserving energy by only removing towels on the floor and having breakfast be a little warmer. Fix these two things and it will be one of the best stays I have had.

The staff were very nice and attentive. The social in the early evening was a nice touch. They even offered breakfast in bed! Great hotel. I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.

The whole experience was pleasant,however,I believe that a more responsible,environment friendly approach would go a long way with the customers which could easily be accomplished.After having stayed more than 3 months at the hotel its fair to say that i had time to observe the daily routine of the hotel staff.For example asking the guests during check in if he/she will require the daily newspaper seems very appropriate as 99% of the guests never seemed to look at them.Telling the cleaning staff not to leave the AC running the whole day after they finished cleaning the room and putting up a simple sign in the bathroom about whether we wish to have our towels washed(every single day) or not.(most hotels do it already) - are just a few ideas.
I`m hoping to see some positive changes in this aspect the next time i go to stay at the hotel.

The staff was actually pretty awesome.
beds were great
Room was spacious, the ceilings are high and the bathroom is awesome.
the breakfast was terrible!
