Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable hotel, friendly staff I stayed at the Holiday Inn Xpress due to a death in my family. It was a very quiet, clean, well maintained hotel. The mattress was extremely comfortable and the staff were very kind and friendly. The Continental Breakfast offered many choices and was delicious. The only con I could mention is the elevator ran very slowly. Other than that, a great place to stay! July 21, 2014

I stayed at a couple of other places in town and they were old and not very clean. I would definitley stay there again. July 1, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE BIKER FRIENDLY. Overall this location is up to the standard I expect from HIE. However, during checkin the staff did treat our group differently from others who arrived at the same time. We were on a 30 day motorcycle ride and stopped here without a reservation, which we had done several times on this trip. When we asked for an AARP or AAA rate we were told they were not giving these rates because they were almost full and charged our group the standard rate for three rooms. While I was checking in a subject walked in, asked if they had rooms and when told yes asked for the AAA rate, which he got. Not sure if the staff didn't like Harley riders, but they had no problem giving a good rate to a car driver. June 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Gut geeignet auch für längeren Aufenthalt Bad war sauber und mit allem was man braucht. Fön, super subere und saugfähige Handtücher, Siefe, Shampoo... Matratze war mir etwas zu hart aber Kissen super. Leider konnte man kein Fenster öffnen, Zimmer roch etwas muffelig, aber sonst alles gut. Frühstück war gut,Müsli,Milch,Beagles uvm. Nur der Frühstücksraum war, wenn man früh morgens kam sehr voll. June 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Excellent Hotel. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fresh, the staff was friendly. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I first stopped at a competitors hotel in Hazleton, PA. They would not honor a coupon in the book from the Welcome Center and the staff was rude. I decided to drive a little further down the road and am so glad that I did. I am not a biker, but I noticed in the entrance there were clean towels to wipe down your bike at morning. They pay attention to every detail. Very impressive June 23, 2014

DOWN was the key word . . . UP was the key word on the way back . . . Wonderful restaurant and lounge with an outside dining area . . . new with beautiful appointments. The food was excellent. The only trouble we had was getting to the entrance from Route 81 as it wasn't well marked & we arrived after dark so it was hard to see, but we found it after 1 wrong turn. May 29, 2014

Front desk attendant, John, arrived with some type of spray and said the smell came from outside where people smoke, so if you plan to stay at this Holiday Inn, try not to stay in the first floor end room! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ESPENSIVE GAPS UNDER THE DOOR While my overall impression was good, two points stand out. First, this is probably the most expensive HIE I have stayed at in my recent travels. But as the night receptionist said "when there isn't a lot of local competition, the prices get higher!" Secondly, the gap under the bedroom door permitted sufficient noise from the hall way to disturb me a few times, plus enough light to eliminate the need to have a night light on in the room. The desk staff were less considerate of my concerns and needs than other HI (8 consecutive night so far on this trip) and less pleasant than expected. I usually am asked to park my moto under cover (one of my reasons for staying at HI) for protection and security at front desk.. Not here.. 1 of 4 times in hundreds of stays over 14 years. Frustration from attitudes because I tried to argue my side of the circumstance... I parked in the rain.. the cost of the facility for service and condition when compared to other HIExp facilities was exorbitant.. Ebb May 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff nice. Room clean My stay was quick as we were traveling thru and I picked this hotel because it was right off the highway. I was only disappointed in the breakfast. They stated that breakfast was served till 9:30. We got there right at 9:00 and there was not much left to choose from. The cinnamon buns were gone and they didn't bring any more out and there was a little bit of eggs and sausage left and they didn't refill this either. I saw the kitchen staff once, but they quickly came and went. Even the bread selection was not what you usually fine at these hotels. I pick a hotel with breakfast just for that reason. So I can eat and get back on the road to my destination. I was not impressed. April 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Put me in a room close to the elevator I checked in and went directly to eat. It was late so I didn't go to my room until after I returned from supper. When I came back and did go to my room, it was next to the elevator. When I brought it to the clerks attention, I was told that it was the only king bed left. They allowed me to move to a queen room. No offer to help me move my luggage; No apologies, No recognition of my platinum status, No offers to upgrade me to a better room, No offers to compensate me for the poor location of the room. Please understand, I travel a lot and often arrive late and tired. This is the first time in quite a while that I've had such a bad experience. April 17, 2014
