Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some things to correct When we checked in there were 4 names on the chalk board, identifying IHG members. There only a few cars in the parking lot. We were put in room 211, that has no view at all as we were behind the HI Express sign. What's up there? That's a con for me, we should have been in a better room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We got back to the room about 12:30 on Saturday and our room had not been cleaned. When the maid came by to clean we were tired and we just got some towels. It's not a huge deal, but I would have thought our room would have been cleaned by noon. The ice machine on the second floor was out and could not be fixed until Monday. So, we had to go down to the first floor for ice, a bit of an inconvenience. I do like the location, it's right off I-64 & 127 and there's a Longhorn Steakhouse and other shops within walking distance. December 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rom 103 at Frankfort Kentucky Like I said before the WiFi did not work in this room on either one of our computers, Ipad and a Windows Lap Top. The Mattresses were horrible in both beds with rolling you into the center of the mattresses. When we called the front desk there was no answer on the hotel phone so I had to call on my cell phone and tell the night manager that the WiFi did not work only to be told that she would reset the WiFi and we waited two more hours and the computers still did not work. We just went to bed in frustration. In the morning I told the morning manager that the WiFi and that both of the mattresses were bad in the room and at first he just looked at me. I walked away and as I was going down the hallway he yelled at me that he would give us an additional 2,000 points for our inconvenience. Now let me get this straight, it takes 15,000 points to stay in this hotel and you are giving me 2,000 additional points for our inconvenience which when you multiply that out I would have to spend 7 1/2 more nights in a "bad" room to get reimbursed. Makes no sense. I don't want something for nothing but really 2,000 points????? The more and more that I think about that the more angrier I become. You guys need those points worse than I do. CLEAN-I count on the rooms to be clean-and they are SAFE- I count on the rooms and hotel to be safe- and they are DEPENDABLE- I count on being able to depend on them for help, if needed,-and they are. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice for a stop on the Bourbon Trail My wife and I were completing the 2nd portion of the Bourbon Trail and picked this location due to is distance to our final two stops on Sunday. Room was cozy and quiet for us to relax and rest up for the completion of the trail. Breakfast was what I've come to expect from HIE properties and the staff that I came across seemed friendly and outgoing. The site also had the added special touch of Platinum Member parking and a welcome board which I found unique. December 3, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected based on other reviews I booked the Whirlpool suite with rewards points. I was disappointed to find the room in disrepair on arrival. There was a busted piece of furniture that used to house a small refrigerator at the entrance of the room. Unacceptable. They did switch rooms for me, but if I had not been pressed for time, I would have just gone to Lexington and got a better IHG property. This hotel was run down. The breakfast was horrible. I had hoped to at least get pancakes, but the machine was broken. Pretty bad experience. And only got back a fraction of the points I used for this stay. Which I must note, the attendant offered, I did not initially ask for points back. Later, I found that I would need to "fight" for the points. As a matter of fact, that just reminded me of something else - I asked for a late check-out the day before departure. Which was granted? The day of my departure, house-keeping knocks on my door (with a do not disturb sign) and asks when I'm leaving. I call the front desk, tell them I requested a late check-out the day before, describe the attendant who "made" the note... Then get a call 15 minutes later asking me to check-out... I inform them the I just called 15 minutes ago, had already been granted an extension TWICE. The person who called identified themselves as the assistant manager. So, as they may be a person who can help, I ask about the points I had been informed would be returned to me. Then all of a sudden the person says they have no ability to help or the power to assist. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY. I never write bad reviews... But this one was SO BAD that I can not hold my peace. December 3, 2014
