I liked my stay in this hotel. The hotel is located in the city center, so I had easy access to all the places I planned to visit, there was no need to use public transport. Friendly staff, good breakfast which is very important to start the day, clean rooms and good sleeping quality after long walks and wandering around this beautiful city, what more do you need.

Great location, great staff, great rooms. Have stayed here 3 times now and all were excellent. My only con is the limited breakfast selection, but I am not a big breakfast eater anyway. Wifi works well in all areas. Convenient to restaurants, train station and sightseeing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RJ18 friendly staff and huge rooms
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge and comfortable. We were given an early check in which was a relief after a long haul flight. Breakfast was very good continental, I particularly liked the warm boiled eggs and fresh fruit salad.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jerry1956 Good value for money
Located on a side street about 3 blocks from the main train station, this hotel is quite convenient. The neighborhood looks a bit dicey, but seems very safe. The hotel is very clean and has a new feel. They were painting and replacing carpet on our floor when we arrived. The room was new and clean, but tiny, and the bed is an American double bed (small for 2 people), not a European double. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was certainly plentiful and adequate. Overall good value for the money in central Frankfurt.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Minnesotat EXCELLENT service!
Extremely pleased with this hotel. The staff was superbly friendly and inviting. Very helpful and kind. Location was perfect...plenty of restaurants/bars within walking distance. The river is no more than 10-15 minute walk and leads you to many city attractions. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom appears new and renovated and is very comfortable.
Parking fee (parking fees should ALWAYS be included in the price of the stay). But, the fee is more reasonable than most places. However, this is typical of european hotels, unfortunately. I chose this hotel over another because the parking fee was 50% less.

Air Conditioning was not working, but you cannot open the window because of the foul smell from outside. Could not sleep at all.
There was neither complementary drinking water nor cotton slippers.

Location can't be beat. Parking is secure. No hot items for breakfast, but choices were varied and fresh. Room was very large by Euro standards - not by US standards. We were very comfortable here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Neverland Excellent choice and right at the centre of Frankfurt
The hotel is an excellent base for a city tour in Frankfurt. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean and the breakfast buffet offers a good selection of food. For any extras you only need to ask and the staff will provide it.
All the sights can be reached from the hotel on foot. Very close by you have a good choice of restaurants, pizzerias, etc. which provide international food.
I have been staying at the Holiday Inn Express twice now and would book it again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by orenaz Comfortable, good location, internet was not working
The hotel is standard HI Express, efficient and good value for the money.
The internet was not working, the staff did they best to solve the problem and even moved me to a room with better signal but still there was a problem which required IT person which was not there at the evening.
As such I had to use my mobile 3G and pay very high costs of mobile data :(
Today internet is mandatory requirement like water or electricity, the hotel should have backup to avoid such cases.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cyprus Nice and central, but needs some small upgrades
We missed stands for our suitcases and had to put them on the floor, at least a little table next to the sofa would have been nice. I burned myself with the super hot metal water heater while making coffee.
No pool, no hot tub, that was sad.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fitchlady Location and geat service
First time in Frankfurt, Germany and I really enjoy my vacation. Staying in Holiday Inn Express is great - location is perfect - near the main central station where u can access easily wherever you want like Belgium, London, Netherlands (Amsterdam), Paris, etc or just taking metro within or outside Frankfurt area. A complimentray daily breakfast is a plus - great food. Staff are great especially Elena. She is very nice, accomodating and very helpful. Thanks also for upgrading to a suite room - a platinum IHG member but Air conditioner needs to be improve to have your customer happy and comfortable. Tram is just in the corner. Location is perfect - walking distance to beautiful places like Romers, DOM, Galleria, etc. You don't need to take a tram/metro to go there. Everything is just a walking distance. There's a lot of restaurant near the hotel - Thai, Chinese, etc. Taking a metro from main central station makes easy access to the airport. This hotel is a package. Enjoy!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sabbsi Ideales Hotel für einen Opernbesuch

We stayed there during Family trip with our daughter. The location was great, close to central train station, 15 minutes walk from the old town and shopping area. On the opposite side of the hotel are located good Italian and Asian restaurants.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gary101 Centrally Located, Good Dining Nearby, Nothing Not to Like
In the heart of Frankfurt near the central train station (which will get you anywhere you want to go in Germany without driving). It's in a neighborhood with a multitude of good dining choices. Turkish is highly recommended, but Italian, Chinese, Australian it's all foot steps from the lobby.
Great staff, warm greeting, English is great for the non German speaker, and it's appreciated. Some parking under the hotel, and not inexpensive, but convenient. Rooms are decent size for the European experience, and the property is quite new in appearances, in an older structure.
It's an energy efficient building, so expect to leave your room in the late hours, and the hallway lights are off; but your motion as you move down the halls turns them on. Security is quite good, it requires a valid room key to access the elevator, and door ways between the two wings.
I enjoyed my stay, extended it because it was central to my travel plans. Rates were competitive.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JohnF17 No room at the Inn
I can't really believe that Holiday Inns have asked me to write a review of my stay in their Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt property but here goes.
I booked my room online at the Holiday Inn website and got confirmation of my reservation - so far, so good.
I arrived at the two days later at 11.30pm to find that the reception was very busy. After being kept waiting for 20 minutes I was told that they were overbooked and had no room for me. This despite my reservation being held against my credit card and being a member of the Priority Club loyalty program.
The reception staff attitude was very poor - much shrugging of shoulders and repetition of there being nothing they could do about it.
Eventually, they told me that they had made a booking for me in another hotel and put me in a taxi. When I got to the other hotel, there was no reservation for me and that hotel was also very busy. I was fortunate enough to get their last room but that was pure luck.
In short, there is no way on earth that I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Frankfurt. I can't comment on the room or other facilities because I never got past the reception.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Caron2 Would Always Stay Here When in Frankfurt
This was my second time staying at the Frankfurt City HI Express and it was just as good as the first time. The room was pristine, the staff very welcoming and helpful and the location was perfect. Also, as a woman travelling alone, the security of the building was very much appreciated and let me truly feel comfortable, something that is not always possible. Highly recommended!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EdR13 Great location and very helpful staff
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Frankfurt for two nights. The property is within easy walking distance to/from the main train station (if you contact the hotel in advance, they provide instructions). We arrived at the hotel early on a Saturday after an international arrival. Despite it being well before check-in time, we were given our room immediately. That was terrific!
Our room had a king bed, sofa and desk area. It did not have a microwave or mini-frig. Everything was great except an additional chair would be nice since the TV didn’t face the sofa. The bathroom had a “rain shower” (no bath). Being an IHG member, our room rate included free wifi or hard-wired broad band access.
Breakfast is complimentary for all guests. It was excellent! It featured boiled eggs, fresh yogurts, cereal, fruits, juices and a variety of wonderful breads. Coffee was self-serve and the breakfast area had two espresso/coffee makers. Again, it was very good! A variety of teas also was available. The breakfast room was large so there were no problems obtaining a table. Also, the breakfast hours were very good – 6:30A through 10:00A (11:00A on weekends).
There were lots of restaurants near the hotel plus a few markets. Also the U-Bahn (subway) is located in the rail station so it made touring very easy. This property is a really good value and its proximity to the train station makes it easy to get throughout the city; to take a long distance train; and to catch the S-Bahn to Frankfurt’s airport. Despite being in the heart of the city it was very quiet in the room.
