I chose it because of location and price and it didn't disappoint on those fronts but it was nothing special. Just a good place to stop if you are doing business on the east side of Columbus or will be flying out of the airport. May 15, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Okay An overpriced HIE property due to the close distance to the airport. Shuttle driver was great. No upgrade offered for Platinum member, in fact little acknowledgement other than a scribble on the room key and the obligatory points. Room was adequate but not great. TV is fine but it takes 20 minutes to find a tv channel since there wasn't a listing. Breakfast was great. All in all an average HIE May 5, 2015

I wanted more late night food amenities, and the internet was sometimes wonky, but everything else was fine. I would recommend this place if you are going to Columbus! May 4, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected When we checked in, everything seemed ok...but when we got to our room (at this completely non-smoking property) our room reeked of smoke. We went back to the desk, and yes, they upgraded us - which just means you have a little larger space with a semi-separated couch area that we did not need, but they placed us right by the elevator - which we had requested in our original reservation to be away from the elevator. We did not know we were by the elevator until we went up to the room - so we decided to just stay there instead of going back down AGAIN to be moved. At midnight, some man kept knocking on our idea why...we did not answer. Just overall, a series of bad situations. Not all of which are Holiday Inn Express' fault, but made for a less than great stay. :( I might give them a second chance at some point as the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great - and the second room was cleaner -with no smoke, but not sure.
