Folks at the front desk were great... looked up my Priority Club number for me, suggested area restaurants, etc. Room was a little pricey for a quick overnight stop, but was clean and comfortable. When I arrived, I was recognized as a Priority Club member, thanked for my loyalty and was upgraded to a suite. Very seldom do I get upgraded when I use points to pay for a room. My room was quiet, I slept great, and the cheese omelets in the morning were YUM YUM YUMMY. Nice people at the front desk too. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like the alligator in front of the hotel All Holiday Inn Expresses are good hotels. It is always my first choice when traveling. This one was better than most which is always a real treat when you find it. The staff was pleasant like a most Holiday Inn's, but the hotel was just a bit nicer. I don't know if it was the lobby layout, size and position of the parking lot, the way the furniture in the room was positioned or all of the above, it was just a nice relaxing stay with no issues or problems. There was even a fake alligator in front of the hotel which I took a picture of. Great hotel and this hotel and the one in Savannah on Bay street should be the standard all Holiday Inn Expresses go by. January 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average in comfort and service This appeared to be an old motel refurbished. The room was a non-smoking room but you could detect someone had smoked in it. It had been sprayed but you could still smell it. We complained at check out only to receive an apology. January 6, 2013

This year for some unknow reason I left my very good glasses in the room when I checked out. Call to hotel confirmed this and they were willing to mail my glasses to me asap. A small example how they are willing to treat you which was very,very much appreciated. January 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Trip I stayed at this Holiday Inn as booked by my employer. I was very glad they chose this location. It was close to shops and food and the room was comfortable. The beds are comfy and there is plenty of space and extras. The only thing is a wish the pool was an indoor pool so it could be enjoyed year round. Other than that, I have zero complaints. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The staff was rude and short The staff was rude, short, and accused me of ripping a curtain and tried to not give me back my deposit before doing any research on the item. It turned out that I didn't rip the curtain... surprise, surprise! It only took them a little over a half hour to figure this out. I will never ever stay at a holiday inn of any variety again. I can only hope they do the right thing and actually train the staff there to do their jobs before they offend anyone else with false accusations and rude unfriendly tones. November 2, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 VA Hospital location Because my Dad was under going a procedure at the VA hospital, this hotel was only a few miles away from that site. The staff was very courteous ...allowed us to check out later( which we did not need), but it was such a nice offer! They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Service and sub par breakfast Frist: I requested a room on the bottom floor in July. I was placed on the 3rd. The front desk personal were rude and non caring when I inquired as to why I was not given a room on the bottom floor. They responsed that some people had stayed over. They should have moved the people without the reservation on the bottom floor to another room. They did not supply any information about the hotel...How to find the elevator or what time breakfast was. Also when I ask about somewhere to eat the front desk just did not want to help. Second: The breakfast for Saturday and Sunday did not start until 0700. I was not told this when I checked in. There was a note posted on the far wall that I did not notice until someone pointed it out. Third: There is only one elevator which resulted in a long wait each time I had to use it. Overall I was very disappointed in my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. October 26, 2012

Although it was a University of Florida Football weekend, and the prices inflated on Friday and Saturday night (as is the case for all hotel/motels in the school vicinity) the hotel was better than adequate. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The staff was efficient and friendly. Although i did not share in the breakfast facility, it looked fine, and everyone else seemed to be enjoying it - as the hotel was also filled to capacity. There is a Cracker Barrel right next door if you want a feast! If you are driving, it is easy getting in and out of the parking lot, and there are tons of restaurants in the area.
