Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just a place to stop for a night This is not a place to stay for long term, many construction workers and other loud people staying here during my stay. People in the hall drinking at 10:30 pm and talking, it should have been quite time for all there. If I'm in the area again I will skip this hotel and go to the next one down the road. I will not stay here again no matter the distance to the next place of rest. December 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy hunter woke us up We were woken up at 4:30 by hunters in a nearby room who were loud for more than an hour. I could not call the desk because I did not want to wake up my children, although I found out later that their sleep was interrupted as well. I told the desk clerk about the problem in the morning and although she was somewhat apologetic she did not offer any thing to make up for our lack of sleep. I had a four and half hour drive the next day and I am disabled so a lack of sleep is a real problem for me. I suggested that in the future they put hunters in rooms away from the people who want a good nights sleep. I did an internal online survey and the same day the manager of the hotel called and was very apologetic and made up for the blase response of the desk clerk. That part of the experience I would rate a 5+. A very good management response. December 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Satisfied Customer I have stayed many nights in this hotel this year while performing field work. I have been very happy overall with everything. It is not the newest or nicest hotel I have stayed in, but it is comfortable, in a good location, and the staff is always great. They also provide a free pass to the local YMCA which i always try to take advantage of. Beds are very comfortable also, and the breakfast isnt bad. December 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and helpful employees I decided to stay here due to bad weather on my way to my daughter's house for Thanksgiving. The people at the front desk welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable and safe, despite the icy weather. The room was definitely clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I slept well, which is especially important to me because I suffer from fibromyalgia. I was very tired when it was time to leave the next day, and the person at the front desk offered to take the luggage cart up to my room when I called to ask if any were available. It was much better to use the cart than make two trips to the car while carrying everything. It was a good experience. December 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by "Fair" Experience Thank you for the opportunity to submit a review. We have serious doubts that one of the beds had been changed. Pulling back the cover, the sheet and the pillows just did not look fresh. (All wrinkled and looked like had been slept on.) Both beds looked like they had been hurriedly put together. Sleep quality fair. Noise in the hallway during the night. (Doors slamming?) Bathroom cleanliness - long dark hair in bathtub. (Neither my husband or I have long dark hair.) Breakfast - found there was no milk for the cereal. The orange juice was obviously more water than orange. (My husband warned me beforehand.) The service "person" did not seem to notice, was watching television, making comments. The "person" moved on to a couple and was having a lengthy, loud conversation. Finally, I walked over and asked if "person" was working the food area. "Person" looked at me and said "Wha do-ya won't?" As we are only traveling through, we have stayed at this location three times. And each time we have found this location "going down". Holiday Inn Express has been our choice for several years but we are finding services, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value inconsistent. You never know what you will have or find in each location. Also we are not sure their reward system is worth using. Takes a very long time to earn a reward. Not worth seeking out a Holiday Inn Express when other chains are available. PS Also restroom facilities off the lobby/breakfast area were not clean. November 27, 2014
