Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY NICE STAFF AT NIGHT We got in late, and asked for a room upgrade since I am 2 stays away from Platinum status. and he took care of us very well. I also seen that he was folding the sheets for the rooms which you never see the front desk people doing. That is the cleaning staff job, and I think he was just helping them. December 26, 2013

After a cold, foggy miserable day, A smile, a snicker doodle cookie, and those words alone gave me a fabulous work week. Galesburg Rocks! I'll be back again someday! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Location for an Overnight Stay This hotel was on our route to Rock Island to attend a college cross country meet the next day. We are IHG members, and were able to use our points for a room. The number of points to stay here was very reasonable. The employee at the front desk was very friendly, and greeted us with our IHG "goodie bag", which was very welcome after a long drive. The room was comfortable and clean, and after a hot breakfast, we left refreshed for the cross country meet. November 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Needs major renovation Door rattled every time next door or across the hall another guest open their door and close it. Exhaust fan in bath room very noisy needs replacement. Bed sheet must be reused from previous guest instead changing it. Carpet was very worn and soiled and look like paint fell on it and tried to clean it but could not completely cleaned. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were good. November 16, 2013

However, after finding silver fish and a few other bugs in the bathroom and tile and walls in need of serious cleaning/update. The mattresses were not comfortable and i believe in need of replacement. Had to go to front desk twice in my three night stay to get towels that were not replaced in the room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Getaway to Galesburg A friend and I wanted to meet halfway between us and Galesburg seemed to fit the bill. Many of the hotels/motels in the area didn't just have one but multiple poor reviews. This was the only one that consistently had good reviews-- and it came through consistent with the reviews. It was a little more than some of the other places, but I had no regrets. The rooms are up to date and each bed had 4 pillows: two firm and two soft. The young man who served the breakfast was very friendly and kept everything well stocked. It was near 74, conveniently located, but insulated well enough we didn't hear much of the interstate. If you get downtown near Knox College, there are some fun restaurants. November 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful as usual I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Main St. in Galesburg whenever I'm home. The rooms are always clean; the employees are friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. It's hard to find if you don't know how to get there. Take exit 48A off 74. Turn left (the first stop light between Hi-Vee and Hi-Vee's gas station). Then take the first left into Holiday Inn Express parking lot. The Hi-Vee store next door, btw, has a little restaurant with tons of food to pick from. And a great salad bar. November 6, 2013
