We arrived and being from the flatlands of Kansas, we saw the balconies facing the ocean and wanted to change our room location as we weren't in a balcony room. Yvonne took such great care of us, made the switch and the cost difference was one meal at Mc Donald's. We were thrilled to say the least. She didn't bat an eye about taking care of us and I am so grateful. This was our 20th anniversary and I had never been to Galveston before so I wanted to be outside and see everything for as long as I could. Someone made the comment at the Verizon store that it was just the ocean, but where I come from, that is a BIG thing. We had a wonderful time in Galveston, on our cruise and it all started with Holiday Inn Express and Yvonne. Great job!

We waited three hours in the rain for the shuttle to take us to the port and an hour and a half for the return trip. The front desk staff was unhelpful about the situation. They share one van between three hotels and each roiund trip took over an hour. Twice the van was filled up before reaching the Holiday Inn Express.

Our family stayed one night at this hotel. To get know Galvastone a Little bit. Overall we found the hotel good. Breakfast was good and plentiful enough. There was a nice pool which we did not use. Our room was very large (family room). The bathroom was very clean and tidy. Opposite the hotel is a beach but probably not suitable for swimming. Nearby there is a beautiful pier.
The following point were disturbing:
- A Bed was slightly damp. Probably by the air conditioner. We still slept in it.
Overall, we would stay there again.

This Holiday Inn Express is right on the seawall and provides easy access to the beach. The rooms were beautiful, clean and well maintained. And, the staff was both gracious and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel!

Very poor service with the night guy. He missed my wake up call twice and one night never answered phone, tried for 30 min . Breakfast was very limited, pancake machine broke all week. Just all in all worst stay at a exspress in a while I stay every week so maybe the next one will be great. However the night shift guy needs to tighten up and do his job.

About average hotel with a nice view of the Gulf. Room was comfortable and clean. Fitness center is a sad joke.

even though in the sealine area, the comfort and quiet of the area is great for relaxing. Not too far from good restaurants and stores. I enjoyed all. Too bad about the slow wifi and the pancake machine out of order but I am sure its a pontual situation

The stay in this hotel was overall good experience. Clean and good property with clear view of the sea.
Two things need attention.
The room windows of Balcony dont have full Curtons, so Light stars coming early in the morning on your bed, wakes you up at 5:00am.
The Wireless internet has poor signals into the room, and it was keep on disconnecting.
