Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great sleep, outdated facilities The hotel looks pleasant, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have the best beds I've ever slept on; but the place is tired, the wi-fi wasn't very good, there is not enough light to work by in the room, and, if not for the area, overpriced for what you get. If you just need a comfortable place for the night, it's fine. But don't recommend it if you are trying to impress someone. I really wish I could have been more positive, but it needs some TLC. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant staff We had a very good experience at the hotel. The staff were informed and helpful in answering questions. it would have been better if the the shuttle was more frequent than once an hour. We lost the Wifi a number of times and had to go to the front desk a few times to get back on line. The pool was very nice and clean. the location is fairly convenient to local shopping and restaurants providing you have a vehicle. the air conditioning/heating waas quite noisy. November 17, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice but doesn't represent HIE branding standards to start - the staff, all of them, were excellent!!! the cleanliness was good. The location to Disney and the shuttle service was very good. The hotel itself, and the room we stayed in, did not hold up to the look of a HIE that I have come to expect. We were on the third floor - the halls looked extremely dated with the furnishings, wallpaper, and wall pictures. Carpeting should have been replaced a long time ago. I had booked a king bed handicap room because we are seniors and the price was the best; The per day price that appeared on the website when I was working on the booking was not what came through on the confirmation; it was close but we had a different price for each of three days that wasn't indicated when I was trying to research. Many of the tiles in the bathroom of our room were cracked, badly. Maybe because this was a senior room the bathroom had to look different but it wasn't very current. The room did have current furniture. Beds were very comfortable. The lobby seemed to have some current look of sofas mixed with older style things and the whole look didn't fit the branding of a lobby of a HIE. This property could be outstanding if the look matched the brand. November 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Good experience We have stayed at this HIE before and we are still very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and staff courtesy. The only negative I have is the WIFI is slow and hard to get on. I just use 4G when visiting HIE's. It eliminates my frustration of a better expectation of speed. November 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not quite up to par We stay in Holiday Inn Express often, this was my first time at this one. I found the bed uncomfortable and frankly, not what I had booked for our stay. Apparently when you use the IHG website to reserve a room with two beds it means they will give you whatever they have when you check in. I have never experienced that at any other IHG property. The air conditioning unit did not work well, the room was either freezing or the heat would come on. It was 90 degrees outside and I just wanted it to be 75ish inside. We were put into a king 'suite' - not really a suite but a room that had a couch. The sitting area had no lighting, so trying to sit and get work done or read was impossible. November 13, 2014
