Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy The room AC was noisy. Also, the room was not well insulated and we could hear people opening adjacent rooms and walking in the hallway. The drapes do not fully shade from outside lights making it difficult to sleep at night. The carpet could be cleaner. May 28, 2014

For someone who spends a LOT of time in hotels and on the road, for the price and the value, I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again the next time I'm in town! The only problem I have which doesn't seem to be heard are beds and pillows. They need upgrade. It is not very comfortable. For the price they should be able to provide at least one comfortable pillow and mattress topper. May 18, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price & location I had read several reviews an they all were a little different. I guess it depends on the person. From my experience, I was there for 5 nights with my husband and 2 kids (14 & 7). My kids enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi and the breakfast. My husband and I were very impressed with the staff everyone was so nice and helpful. The hotel itself is outdated but overall it is clean. Its a perfect distance from Disneyland which made it easy to come back for lunch and a dip in the pool then go back to the park in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel to others. April 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by disneyland trip beds were a lil hard compared to other holiday inns i have stayed at. and maids did not check under the bed for i found a fork the minute i walked in and inspected bathroom. but they were great about letting me check in early and giving me the lower floor nearest to the parking lot : and extra towels when needed. nightly room rate was reasonable. however, i called back the next day to see if i left my tower of terror picture behind when i checked out and the front desk clerk has yet to call me back and its been 3 days ;/ guess ill need to call again...(for whoever is reading this i was in room 106) March 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I like this hotel Stayed here twice at different times. What's important to me that this hotel has comfortable beds, clean and serves complimentary breakfast. Near Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm amusement park (10 to 15 mins drive). The only thing I didn't like is that one guy staff in the front desk. He wasn't even attending any guest or was not even on the phone. When I came back from the store with lots of bags in my hand, I was struggling to open the door and he just looked at me and then looked down as if he didn't see me. It was hard because both doors has to be pulled. Other than that one big heavy stature staff guy, I like this hotel. The other staffs greeted me and welcomed me well. March 18, 2014

I brought the family here and we had an amazing time, the staff was more than helpful and polite. This has to be one of the best Holiday Inn's I have stayed at. The breakfast was typical Holiday Inn breakfast that I always enjoy. The pool was the perfect temperature to spend hours playing. I would highly recommend this hotel. March 16, 2014

It is only a short drive to the park, although I did read on here that there is a shuttle that takes you there as well. We didn't mind the drive. Also, I find it usually too crowded at the hotels near Disney, especially during peak seasons. This hotel was definitely family-friendly, had a great selection for breakfast, and is also located near the Outlets at Orange. If you are visiting on vacation and have some extra time, the Outlets are worth checking out, lots of great stores there. We liked this location so much that this will def. be our go-to hotel when coming back to Disneyland...we are annual passholders so that will be quite often. March 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Staff We checked in late evening and were given only a couple of choices of rooms. When we actually went into the room the smell of cigarette smoke was bad. This we could not tolerate and had to go back to the front desk to find another room. The clerks gave us an upgraded room which was very nice. We thought we only needed the room for one night so we checked out but soon thereafter we found out we needed to stay another night. We called back and the front desk staff remembered us and booked us into the same exact room which we liked so much. We've stayed at this HIE before and have found the evening staff in particular to be friendly and helpful. March 4, 2014

When I return, I am treated like an old friend they are happy to see. The staff takes a lot of pride in their jobs and the facility is well cared for. We arrived late in the evening, frantic because we just received word that we had 20 more participants in the presentation we would deliver the following day. The staff made the copies for us and made us fresh coffee so that we could get prepared for the next day. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the location was convenient. The business center is great and quiet, with great internet access. Love it! February 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Non smoking Room?? We booked a non-smoking room that was obiviously smoked in. The evidence was over whelming , as there was still ahes in the burn mark in the carpet beside the bed. The odour of cigarette smoke was quite noticable, even though they had sprayed a airfreshener to mask it. The bed needs replacing as it is lower quality than normal and quite frankly wore out. You could barely see out of the windows, as they were extremely dirty. This has to one of the worst experiences we've had with Holiday Inn Express. Your chain is our usaul choice of hotels as they are normally very clean and welcoming. We chose this location as we stayed there previously, when it was newer. We recommend maybe it's time for some reno's and better housekeeping. This location could use it. When mentioned to front desk that th room smelled of cigarettes, they did not seem concerned. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wow! This Hotel Desperately Needs an Update!!! Stains on the carpet... Plain Jane room decor... Dirty and tired furniture... A Lobby that looks like a Bedouin tent... A breakfast hour that starts at 6:30 a.m., when most of Southern California has to be on the road by 6:00 a.am.. Lots of options and lots of choices in this area. I'll go elsewhere next time. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple and comfortable Extremely friendly staff that promptly greet us. Rooms are run of the mill, but clean and bed was cozy. Workout room left a lot to be desired. If you want to walk on a treadmill you will be fine. Let my dad come in on day before check in to look at rooms. They even booked us the same room. Only downside is it is not within walking distance to much. Tried a Mexican restaurant nearby that was delicious but had to drive there. That being said, for the money, I recommend this hotel. You can tell the mattress was older and probably should be upgraded. I've recently stayed in Holiday Inn Express in other cities and there bed was much more comfortable. When we attempted to discuss this concern with the person at the desk she was not very helpful and was confused as to what to do or whether or not she could actually do anything about it. So she told us she would have the manager contact us when he got there which would be an hour or so later. At that point it was after 11:00 pm. January 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by previous stays where better been here 2 times before and had a good experience, hence the stay for the third time. previous times we had a room upstairs, now downstairs almost end of hallway. i booked a room for 3 persons,at the time of booking i could only choose between "standard room" or a 1 king bed room, as with 3 persons i choose "standard room" ,as i was under the impression to get a 2 queen bed room if making reservations for 3 persons. upon arrival we got a 1 king bed room, i asked the front desk if we could get a 2 queen room, but i was told that as i booked the standard room i would be appointed a room upon arrival, and as the 1 king bed room was the only available room we got that room despite being with 3 persons. there was no rollaway available. if i would have know i would have looked for another place to stay. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by second trip Had a great experience my first time at this hotel. Decided to stay again for our week at Disneyland. Carpets were filthy. So was the flooring. Beds impossible to get comfortable. First time our room was clean & fantastic, this time was like staying at motel 6, except motel 6 you expect such rubbish. Heating//AC unit rattled so loud that it woke us EVERY TIME IT CYCLED ON. Loud children running the hallways were ignored by staff. Food service was very slow compared to our last trip. Things werent stocked when they opened. We had to eat early to get to Disneyland, most days only some foods were stocked at opening. No longer worth the price. Very very disappointed.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanksgiving Day stay I stayed for one night while visiting Disneyland for Thanksgiving. My status was recognized and I received an upgrade to a very spacious and well-equipped room. The property is very clean and quiet. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. On the morning of Thanksgiving Day, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that their complimentary breakfast also included a special turkey dinner, with moist turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and even cranberry sauce. The taste and quality of the food was far better than I was expecting and it was a perfect way to start off the day. The location was less than 10 minutes away from Disneyland, making for a very easy and quick drive to the park. It is only a minute or two away from where many of the more expensive 'resort area' hotels are at, without the crowds or expensive parking. There are very few hotels actually within walking distance to the park, and this place is probably nicer than most of them. The Anaheim Resort Transit bus comes by every hour, and it is a great alternative to paying $16 to park in the horrible Disneyland parking garage. I will not hesitate to stay here again next time I am looking for a Disneyland-area hotel, and I will suggest it to others. December 18, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient, affordable hotel My husband and I were in town for a wedding and stayed at this Holiday Inn for 3 nights. We got a great deal through the Entertainment Book. You can tell from the inside that the hotel is older, but it was still comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable- the one gentleman pointed us to a great restaurant when we just got in and were starving and had no idea where to go. The breakfast area had a decent assortment of food to fuel up for the day. We took a dip in the hot tub one evening which was nice, minus the very small pool towels they provide. Overall, we were pleased with the value, comfort, and staff and enjoyed our stay. December 3, 2013
