Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Below Expectations We reserved and paid for a NON SMOKING room with 2 queen beds on line. We arrived at 10:30 pm and it took 25 minutes to get checked in and get a key. There were two customers discussing mistakes with their reservations and there was only one front desk person so we had to wait (with 2 tired young children). Our room was so stinky of old smoke that we called the front desk to get a different room. They offered us a pet room but my wife has allergies so that wasn't an option. They said "sorry" there is nothing else we can do. It was a miserable night. This is the 3rd bad Holiday Inn Express experience in a row so we will be changing to a different chain going forward. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Non-Smoking??? We got 2 rooms. The first was right off the elevator. Right beside the ice maker and vending machines. FYI, people get ice ALL NIGHT LONG, and the elevator is a great meeting place ALL NIGHT LONG! The other room completely smelled like a cigarette. NASTY!! The clothes I had out for a business meeting the next morning smelled awful. The clerks said, "Oh we're sorry". That's all? That's it? The breakfast, other than the rotten apple, was ok. I will drive farther to get to my customer before I would stay here again. July 24, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Indescribable We booked two different hotels for a 5 night stay for 3 of the 5 nights we stayed at this hotel. We had our family pet with us which we were charged a $35 per night fee for cleaning up after our dog even though they never once cleaned our room for the whole time of our stay. Then when we checked out and found out it wasn't a $35 fee for the whole time and instead it was $25 per night I told them that was not what the website states and the front desk clerk decided to are guy with me about it and insisted she was wright and I was wrong and proceeded to tell me that if I had a problem to contact the company bc there was nothing she could do. When we left and contacted the company they informed me that each hotel has a different pet policy and this hotels was to charge the $25 fee per night instead of the $35 per stay as the next hotels policy is. Although it was a mistake the person I spoke to on the phone stated that bc it was a confusion with the fee he would contact the hotel and let them know I was in need of a refund. When I was contacted by the "SO CALLED" general manager of the hotel she was very rude and disrespectful and not willing to even pay attention to what I was trying to tell her and before she hung up the phone on me she made a point to be even more rude to me and make it very clear she didn't care that I was going to leave a review of her and this hotel...........we will NEVER stay at this hotel or any other Holiday Inn's in this area for the small chance of having to deal with her again!!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff and very comfortable beds. The staff was VERY friendly during our stay. They even provided phone numbers for us (that were not listed) to order dinner when we arrived. These are probably the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel and we are a military family so that is saying something. The breakfast was delicious (they were a little short on a few items, but that's our fault because we slept in so late on the wonderful beds!). Thanks for a restful, relaxing stay. We will be sure to remember you on our next trip! July 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel for business trip THis is a newer hotel and has a very good location to Chrlotte airport. However, while I was there a construction crew was staying there and they drained the ice machines and hung around in the parking lot. The parking lot was small, but clean. The cleaning room service is slow, they did not get to my room till after 3 pm every day which weas an inconvenience since I had morning meetings and when I go back tot he room only the towles were removed and not returned.
