Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A really relaxing break We stayed at the Holiday Inn Geneva for 3 nights. We were made to feel very welcome immediately and the staff were an absolute joy. The convienience of location meant we often used the airport shuttle to get a train into the city centre - and of course when we went to catch our early flight. A great help and so quick. Breakfast was simple but very tasty and plentiful - loved the green eggs! Beds and pillows comfy too. Will definately stay again July 26, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing fancy but all you need for an airport stay. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Rooms are pretty small, but they're reasonably comfortable. For two people, I'd recommend getting two twin beds because the double bed is small. Breakfast is ok, nothing special. For an airport hotel, it is all you need and it is considerably less expensive than neighbouring properties. July 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Geneva airport hotel Hotel is located near the Geneva airport. Shuttle available and runs every 20 minutes. Airport and bus/train station are about 5 minutes away. Rooms are basic (no tub) but comfortable. Internet is free in the lobby, but not in the room. Breakfast is fine. Staff are helpful and pleasant. July 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Airport Transportation and dirty pillows When we checked in, we advised the Front Desk Clerk that my family of four would need a ride to the airport at 5:30 AM for our 7:30 AM international flight. We were advised that the first shuttle would depart at 5:50 AM and that we would still have plenty of time. There is no sign up for the shuttle. We were one of the first to arrive in the morning for the shuttle. However, when the shuttle arrived, others got on first. We were then told that we would have to wait for the next shuttle, which would come in about 10 minutes. I was already nervous about our international flights and the time we would need to get checked in and go through security. Most airport hotels have a sign up for the shuttle, so they know if there might be an overbooking issue. Certainly, those with more pressing flight times should be given priority.c I had rented two hotel rooms. Both rooms had dirty pillows that did not have pillow cases and the pillows had stains on them. We left this Holiday Inn with an unfavorable opinion. July 8, 2013

I had to wait for 20 minutes at the airport so that the driver could get his burgers. The phone buttons don;t work and you are given no information on how to connect to the internet and have to ask. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location, location, location First the not so good: breakfast was pretty lame. Cold meat, hard-boiled eggs, and cheese along with cold cereal and milk and some pastries. Sure made me miss the big spreads at hotels in Germany. Coffee was from a push-button machine but had variety and it was hot and had caffeine. Everything was always clean, most of the staff was very helpful and courteous. The view of the mountains was fantastic. The proximity to the airport/train station/expo center along with the free shuttle service made the trip a logistical dream come true. Free train passes weren't given to us until we requested them day three after someone told us we needed to stop paying for the train because it was supposed to be included in the hotel stay. The staff checking us in on Friday were a bit, um, flustered and seemed confused. Oversights happen...oh well. There's also a very nice restaurant up by the airport within an easy walk that has good hours called Café de l'Aviation Sàrl. The curried veal hit the spot. Last night while drinking with friends in the bar a friendly staff member taught me some French. Overall, even while a bit basic at the Holiday Inn Express, the Geneva experience was fantastic and I'll be back next year and I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. June 17, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fairly Standard Airport Hotel - Expensive but convenient The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was fairly good and certainly sufficient for our needs before our transatlantic flight. The bed was clean and we appreciated the choice of pillow types but the mattress itself, was not the most comfortable. I could feel the coils. Don't use the carpark. The prices are steep so if you have a rental car it is much better to drop it off at the airport and take the hotel's free airport shuttle which runs often. June 10, 2013

I would like to have instead of liquid soap for the shower a bar of normal soap. Also some amenities in the toilet. The window of the room was damaged and could not close very well. June 6, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and convenient Close to the airport the Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located for business visits to Geneva. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and relatively quiet. Having stayed here twice I have had one good experience and one less good experience of the room wifi, I guess it may depend on exactly where your room is but the 2nd time it worked really well, solid connection and good speed. Breakfast is adequate - OK for a couple of days business trip but I imagine a bit more variety would be welcomed if you were staying for longer. There's a reasonably frequent shuttle service to and from the airport - and therefore the train station which is great, but worth finding out when the driver's meal breaks are as it can leave you waiting 40 mins at the airport - in which case grab a cab or cheekily take the Movenpick shuttle which is next door! There is big shopping Mall just 1-2 stop from the hotel, which has more of the shop there. The hotel is quiet and I have a good rest in the queen bed with a choice of soft and normal pillow. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stay in April 2013 The hotel is pretty much what I expected. The staff there at check inn made the stay less than what I wanted for our last day in Europe. The young man was a somewhat "know it all" giving just enough info to answer a question. The other staff member when asked how to get to the airport gave is really bad info on how to return the rental car. The staff the next day was good. Having a knowledgeable and friendly staff makes a big difference in the stay experience. April 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wished we had not booked here We had as you know booked 1 double and 1 triple room for our children. We arrived late, and exhausted after a long day and were rising to leave for the airport at 4:45am to catch our homeward flight, via London for Kenya. So a short night and a long day ahead, with sleep being a priority which is why we chose to stay as close to the airport as possible. When we checked in to our rooms the triple bed was not made up - it was a closed sofa bed – we called your reception and before we could explain the problem he said he was busy and would call us back. After another 10 minutes he called us and I explained the problem that one bed was not made up. He said he would have to wait for the driver to come back from the airport as he was alone on the reception desk. After another 20 minutes – the driver who had collected us from the airport came to our room and pulled down the sofa bed. He then had to go again and get sheets. By this time we had been in the room for over an hour and the children needed to get to sleep but one could not as they were yet to have a bed. I have to commend this individual – he was helpful and doing his best at multi tasking. The sofa bed was not level and a very uncomfortable night was spent in the sofa bed – the sheets were placed on the bed and could not even be tucked in? Secondly we were expecting to have a free transfer the following morning from the hotel to the airport – instead we were charged Ch 30 for this transfer together with another 6 or 7 people – which means that the hotel were charging over ch 300 for this 5 minute transfer Reply from the manager: Thank you for your stay at the hotel Holiday Inn Express Geneva Airport. Sorry for my late answer but I have been away for a few days. It seems like you did not enjoy your stay and I am sorry for the sofa bed that was not made upon arrival. These sofabeds are generally made for children up to 18 years and I apologize for the delay in fixing the sofabed. At a Holiday Inn Express it is normal that drivers or front office staff are asked to work at the bar, in the roooms or at breakfast service in order to keep room rates low - staff is multitasking.
