The clerk who checked me in was very efficient and friendly, but the other clerk I encountered later, while professional, was not overly friendly. Food here was awful. Orange Juice had strong chemical flavor - discarded after two sips. Banana looked okay as I peeled it, but center was mushy like it had been frozen/thawed. Yogurt was tasteless. Desk is set up in room so that if you have on the air conditioner, you get chilled while trying to work. My room was on the west side, so I had to use air conditioner. Bed was fairly comfortable, but pillows could have been better. Internet service was consistent with no lost connections, but just like every other stupid hotel internet system, it boots you off 24 hours after you first log in so you sometimes lose unsaved work and have to log in again. Why can't someone figure out how to let you work until 11:59 p.m. even if you logged in the previous day at 8 p.m.? During this visit, I was told that Dish TV service had been called to fix reception for HBO and some local channels, but other channels were available, so it made no sense to me. In the end, they did not offer any discount on my rate due to this lack of service. My client might require me to stay here again, but not if I can convince them otherwise.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lorac13 Comfortable bed, nice room, friendly staff.
Check in was a little slow because rooms were clean but some had no linens. So they had to reassign our room, but they were very accommodating and pleasant about it.

The Holiday Inn Express in Germantown is a great hotel. It's very clean and the staff very professional and courteous. There are 4 computers with printers for guests to use in the lobby. Complimentary internet access is provided. There is also a complimentary breakfast buffet with many choices such as eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, cereal, and oatmeal. I don't recommend the pancake though, kind of rubbery. Rooms are very clean with fresh towels.
Two downsides: There were problems with the satellite dish, so the major broadcasting channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) were not available the whole week. Neither were some of the premium channels such as HBO or Showtime. The other downside is the hotel is not close to any restaurants or stores. You need to drive to the stores. The hotel did provide complimentary shuttle service though as long as you didn't go further than 5 miles.
