Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Make sure you verify your reservation I travel this area often, and always stay at Holiday Inn properties. This evening I was traveling with 3 visitors from my company's corporate office, including my Region Sales Manager, and they called us at 7pm to let us know that they only had 3 rooms available, even though we had booked 4 rooms, more than a month ago and all had our reservation confirmation numbers. First they asked us to share a room, which is unacceptable, and then they offered another hotel across the street. This hotel was not even close to the quality that the Holiday Inn in this location offers. One of our party ended up staying at this questionable hotel, as we had no other options. They held rooms for people coming in after us and lost the business of 4 very frequent business travelers. Not happy. July 15, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Internet needs work This was a great stay for us with one exception. The room was clean, the staff supportive and the price was reasonable. The only drawback was the internet connection. It was intermittent and undependable, both the wifi and the guest computers. I spent two and one half hours trying to make a reservation with another Holiday Inn Express (HIE) in South Dakota. I would get about halfway through the booking process and would lose connection. Once I was only one click away when it failed. The clerk reset the modem twice for me, which seemed to help make it last a bit longer before failing, but never enough. Two other guests came in and expressed the same problem before giving up. The clerk said that the internet was via satellite and atmospherics were probably causing the poor signal. I noticed, however, that the HIE business computers behind the front desk were functioning without error. I was able to deduce that there are two different systems in place. A reliable one for the hotel administration and a lesser system for the guests. I was never able to make a reservation through the HIE internet connection and had to take pot luck when I arrived in South Dakota. July 9, 2014
