Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal location I was flying into Glasgow to attend a meeting so this hotel seemed the ideal location. The rooms were well appointed, clean and the bed very comfortable. The wi-fi was easy to access and unlike some hotels had free 24 hour access. The close vicinity to the airport meant that I could get a meal during the day before the restaurant opened. I did eat in the restuarant later on in the evening and found the staff to be very friendly, the food pleasant and atmosphere welcoming. I would highly recommended this hotel and intend to use it again in the future. December 28, 2013

Very good welcome after a long and arduous journey. 4 adults managed well in double and sofa bed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As always a delightful hotel to start our journey We always stay at the Holiday Inn Express when flying out of Glasgow Airport or meeting family and friends flying in from abroad. We feel it offers a warm welcome , comfortable clean room, restaurant to dine in without having to go elsewhere with the very important added features of valet parking and free Wifi. Breakfast available from 4 am and only a short walk over to the Airport. We feel it is the perfect place for us, and were extremely disappointed in October when we foolishly left it late to book and had to find a room elsewhere which did not offer many of the features I have mentioned. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Been Better This is the fourth time we have stayed here before flying out....and found that it didn't appear to be of the usual standard. First room we were given was directly over the air/heating units...and noisy. As it was - the heating in room wasn't working ...so we were changed rooms. Toilet / shower room could be better. Brown rust marks at bottom of outside shower. Badly marked toilet where toilet seat is attached to bowl. Dinner, which is normally nice, but this time I had a bad experience - ordered fish - and it was off. Like everything else - there are blips in some systems - and I certainly wouldn't let this one put me off using the hotel again - or recommending it (as I have done)... Staff as usual - where excellent. December 1, 2013

If your looking for a full cooked breakfast you won't get it here, only sausage egg and beans although a good range of healthy foods. There is also a charge for parking. November 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by things that go bump in the night Upon first appearance, all seemed well to my wife, young daughter and I. The room was a very good size equipped with twins and a single along with a sofa. After returning from dinner in the city for a good night's sleep before an early airport check in we found the room cold, caused by a window that wouldn't seal. I found a blue plaster on the floor next to my daughter's bed for the night and the aircon/heating had no effect other than making a droning noise. An attempt was made to solve the window problem myself by inserting a towel between thw window and the frame due to the time and didn't want the bother of upheaval to another room might it have been possible. This improved the matter slightly. So settling down for a nights sleep and switching off the television, it became apparent why the room was so large. A void behind the lift has been used to create a family room. The only downside to this is the constant whirring and drone that can be heard by the lift when in operation, quite often as you'd expect in a stop off at an international airport. Breakfast buffet - a very poor selection of cheap food which my daughter, who loves food, refused to eat. One of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. The only positive is the convenience of the 8 day valet parking although does not outweigh the negatives. November 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport Stayed there, along with friends, several times during November. A good hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Free WiFi and a good breakfast included in price. 5 minutes walk to the airport terminal. My only slight criticism is about the central heating system. It needs some attention, difficult to keep an even temperature in the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. November 25, 2013

I was wrong, of course - room was very well appointed and virtually no airport noise got to me. Slept much better than I expected to. I did fell that staff were not too knowledgeable about coeliac disease and the necessary gluten free diet required - some training required to enable better understanding. November 21, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap and convenient, but old and noisy The hotel is right next to the airport and rooms were cheap , but you get what you pay for and the building is old and in dire need of a refurbish. The walls are thin and you get woken up by people leaving/arriving all through the night. Wouldn't stay again. November 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handy for Airport This hotel is defo handy for the airport ... rooms are comfortable but...make sure you dont get a room at the front of the hotel if you are a light sleeper as the traffic can keep you from a good nights sleepl!! Breakfast is adequate in my view, ok they dont have bacon and not everyone likes sausages (including me) but there is enough to eat. Generally good value for money, even better when you can get booked when there is a promotion /sale on :o) .....but be aware of the car park charges, we parked the car, went to check-in, took our cases to our room and then came back out again to move our car and we had overstayed our 15 free minutes by 2 minutes but had to pay £2 charge..... guests should be given an hour free to allow then time to get to their room with their cases, get organised and then back out again if they are going to remove their car. Apart from this, the hotel is defo convenient for the airport November 11, 2013

Always, been excellent, however this time the non-smoking room absolutely stunk of smoke! We have a 10 year old and were not best pleased. We did complain and were told that they would put an air freshener in the room and when we returned from shopping in Glasgow this had not been done. When we complained again we were told they could move us but as we were really tired we didnt want to pack up and move all our luggage and were disappointed that an air freshener as offered wasn't supplied. Next morning on checking out we were asked how our stay was and we told them about the room stinking of smoke. The reply was "yes you told us yesterday!" May try one of the other airport hotels on offer next time ! November 8, 2013

I had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent and good value for money. The breakfast was also very enjoyable. I found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by arrival 3am no sofa bed made and no bedding and lack of interest we arrived 3am on sunday 3rd November 2013 and were checked in swiftly and went to out room. the sofa bed was not made up and no bedding to be seen so I went down to reception and enquired to be told that it said on the card that it was done so unfold sofa bed as it may be inside if not bedding was to left as you go in? the person could not even look me in the eye and when I went back to room and unfolded sofa bed no bedding and looked all round room to no avail? we just wanted to crash out after our flight have breakfast and drive home in daylight but we were left with a double bed for three? after a couple of hours we gave up and went for breakfast and were not acknowledged by the receptionist who I had seen 3 hours earlier? so I approached him and said that I was not happy he still never looked me in the face and he offered me 50% refund which I took but what I really wanted was service from someone who cared? all he kept saying was that it said on the card that it was done? does the holiday inn express care?
