We have stayed with the Holiday Inn Express every visit home, (Scotland), since they have been at the Glasgow Airport.
They are located very close to our car rental company and can return our vehicle and check-in for the next morning flight within 5 mintues.
The evening menu offered right in the hotel has always been oustanding. Good food, good service and makes for having a good night's rest. After extending out the last day in Scotland because of location, great staff and the convience, it's going to always be our choice at Glasgow Scotland Airport.

Stayed as a family of 4, rooms a little on the small side but was only for 1 night so was fine. Was clean throughout. Breakfast was hot and cold with a good selection (scrambled eggs, sausage and beans the only cooked food).
Check in an out was smooth and efficient, was advertised as £5 for parking for residents, however when I enquired at check out, the reception staff scanned my ticket so it was free, nice little bonus !
Overall a good hotel.

Sofa Bed springs did not give a good night sleep!
Could not get a comfortable possition!
Breakfast could be improved upon, but overall very satisfactory.

Despite being next to an international airport - it was very quiet; providing a good nights sleep.
Excellent for an overnight stay either arriving or flying from Glasgow.
Good food (cooked breakfast and evening meals).
Not really designed as a holiday retreat though....
The only slight issue was the noise of the air conditioning fan in the bedroom which proved irritating - couldn't turn it off or stop the fan. But it wasn't really that loud.

The room was freezing when we went in so we turned the aircon off and went for something to eat and drink. When we got back the room was just as freezing and despite us altering the controls to maximum there was only cold air blasting out of the unit. There was no other source of heating in the room and as we were being blasted with cold air directly at the bed we switched the unit off and got right under the duvet.
The TV picture was nothing to write home about. In fact at our subsequent holiday in Iceland we got more channels, a great picture and a large flat screen TV instead of the small CRT set provided at this hotel.
On the plus side the food in the restaurant was good - both for breakfast and for an evening meal and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Would we stay there again? Probably not. There are many other places around which could possibly provide a better experience.

We spent yet another night in comfort this time on our way back from holiday. We find this hotel perfect when using Glasgow Airport. It is very convenient particularly for early or late flights. The rooms are warm and comfortable.

Hi,
Excellent stay with only one problem- lift- we syed twice over a period of 3 weeks - one of the lifts was out of order - this seems a long time for a lift to be out of order - why i mention this my wife is in a wheelchair and we need the lift - the first time we had to dash for flight due to waiting for lift- 2nd and third time we decided to get down long before we would have done to make certain of getting down.
We have another booking and wondering if lift is anywhere near being repaired.

Having used both Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express many times in the past, I will NEVER stay in Holiday Inn Express again mainly because of the poor quality of food on offer. The dinner menu comprised of pies or breaded items with grossly overcooked vegetables, while breakfast was poorly cooked with extremely surly service.
VERY inferior to Premier Inn where we stayed the following week.

A/C-heating unit in the room was quite noisy and one of the beds was directly under it. The combined cycling of noise and airflow was not conducive to a good nights sleep.

I was really impressed with the quality and comfort of the Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport. 15 minutes after getting off the plane I was in my room at the hotel.
Its closeness to the airport (a three minute walk) is a great asset. However even this close to the airport there is no noise of planes landing or taking off, which is positive.
The room was larger than other budget hotel chains I have used and being close to the airport not only meant it was simple for the flights, but also meant easy access to the regular shuttle bus to Glasgow City Centre.
I will certainly recommend the hotel to any colleagues planning to travel to Glasgow for work or leisure in the future.

We stayed at the hotel for one night before going on holiday. Price was good, room was decent enough although air conditioning was so noisy, we couldn't keep it on overnight. Staff appeared a bit distracted in the couple of occasions we dealt with them (checking in and at breakfast). Overall decent enough hotel for an airport stay but probably priced about right.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express at the beginning of March 2013 and, yet again, found the experience a great start to our holiday. The staff are charming and the room was very comfortable. I would recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone on there way to or from the airport.

We overnighted in the hotel on 7/3/13 & was very impressed when we were informed of the car service to a parking area & returned to the hotel for us returning from holiday for uplift thereby saving us time after a long flight with still a distance to travel before reaching home. Thanks very much will be passing on this information to friends & family.

Having booked at least 2 weeks in advance we were able to save over 50% on the room rate. Unlike the Holiday Inn nearby, breakfast was included. Sadly, the outrageous prices for drinks caused us to buy a bottle at the Tesco 24 hour in the terminal building and drink it in our room. As regulars at the HI Express, we have got used to this. We definitely rate it much higher than the Holiday Inn (which we stayed at after our return flight and would not repeat the experience).

Stayed here the night we were due to fly,the stay was excellent,staff customer attitude was excellent and we could not fault anything. For anyone wishing to travel from or back to Scotland either on business or holiday look no further than the Holiday Inn Hotel or Xpress Holiday Inn at Glasgow Airport. - Got an early check in for holidays or coming back late with onward drive to home? - this was the perfect choice. Good, affordable accommodation with an early breakfast and two minutes walk to your check in desk.
Free parking - just leave your key. removed all the worry of not being there on time , of travelling in unsocial hours, and most of all, of not having to drive home at the end of a long day and flight. Safer as well!

Hotel is not suitable for stays of longer than 1 or 2 nights. We booked (advised incorrectly by the website), to stay there for 6 nights. Lifts did not work for practically the whole duration of the stay, when asked of the staff they said it is being fixed. Not an issue if you are on the ground or first floor, but being on the 3rd floor with a small child, the hotel staff were unprofessional in their attitude. This is hotel is more of a motel suitable for the transiting passengers at Glasgow airport. They did not replace the bedsheets until we asked them (4 days later)- it was very evident from the crunched up bed sheets that they didnt. The room was also not cleaned properly (as the plastic cover of the cups from the bathroom was still on the floor next to the bed. The TVs are old, and picture is reddish in colour.

Stayed at this hotel prior to flying out the next day and I was a little taken aback by the negative reviews on this page. However, I was absolutely delighted by the service, staff, accommodation and food.
I would recommend this hotel as the best overnight stop with easy access to the airport. Comfortable beds and clean nicely furnished rooms, great shower. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff.
