The Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow - City Ctr Theatreland was excellent for our stay. It was convenient, clean, and well managed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was well sized and clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CelticConnecting friend nothing too much trouble
I stay at this hotel as a way of attending concerts and gigs which are part of Celtic Connections .
The hotel is usually very very busy with musicians who are exhausted and audience members who are also exhausted from staying up late and maybe generally overdoing it in other ways.
The staff are amazing.. At breakfast they go about attending to guests in an overcrowded dining area... In a cheerful manner .. Helping to filter guests a little so that we are not bumping into each other .
They also very quickly tidy tables but they have a difficult job! They never hurry us out but instead manage to chat a little whilst attending to everyone's needs
Staff at reception and bar are also mega helpful and not only that ... Just generally friendly and communicative. A great hotel in a great location

A practical hotel in a good position for central Glasgow. The room was clean and comfortable, although sparsely equipped. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and checking in and out was trouble free. The only problem was the first floor room was on the main road and hot and airless at night. To get fresh air we needed to open the window but were then disturbed by all night traffic outside. Overall experience was very satisfactory for the money however.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Express convenience
Holiday Inn Express in Glasgow has the major advantage of being close to all amenities, particularly the concert hall, John Lewis and the Buchanan Shopping Centre, the main cinema and theatre, and restaurants.
I recommend the hotel for its convenience and security (you need to use a door key card for the lift for example). The rooms are comfortable, if basic, and extras such as toiletries (other than liquid soap) are not provided.
Added advantages are the bar, and adjacent DiMaggio's restaurant, and the main car park (£2.50 overnight) immediately opposite the hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steve_78 Comfortable, good location, and good service
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Since it was low season, prices were highly discounted, making it great value. Without the discounted rate it might be possible to find better value elsewhere.
Staff at desk were very courteous, helping to recommend neighbouring restaurants for dinner.
Car parking opposite at reduced rate for 24 hr period was very convenient and appreciated.
The room was very comfortable - great sleep and good range of choice for breakfast.
Location is within easy walking distance of the main shopping district of Glasgow.
I recommend this hotel and will consider Holiday Inn Express for future visits to Glasgow and elsewhere.
