A friendly, welcoming and convenient hotel with obliging staff. Breakfast well presented but upon asking for the empty tray to be refilled was told that "We don't do bacon!" Everything else was fine.

For a weekend family party. Check in fast and friendly, the 4th floor room excellent with a comfy bed, hanging space, and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was spotless with a good shower .You get a cooked breakfast included in the price at this hotel. There is a small but comfortable bar just off Reception. Only drawback is the 10 minute walk up the hill from the City centre but cruising taxis are so cheap in Glasgow. This hotel is always busy with a mixed age range and ideal for a short visit. It compares very well with the Holiday Inn hotels we have stayed in elsewhere and we will return.

I recommend this hotel for a stay in Glasgow. Good, clean rooms for the money, nice breakfast, friendly staff, I will stay here on my next visit.

Great team welcome especially for regular visitor like myself. Comfortable facilities but a couple of grumbles:
- the breakfast was never very interesting but why is it now a challenge without trays?
- the TV system is slow to find your channel, especially if you like bbc2 and Radio4!
- can never figure out the access controls in the lifts. Lights come on or not, keys are read or quite often, not.
But small grumbles for a comfortable hotel that delivers what it promises!

I cannot fault this hotel - we had an easy check-in, great room, fantastic breakfast choices. Staff were so attentive, especially in the breakfast room - all the food was continuously replenished and the place was spotless. Such a great location made our time in Glasgow so pleasurable not to mention the close proximity to Buchanan Bus station which is where we departed the beautiful city of Glasgow. I will certainly book Holiday Inn Express hotels in my future travels.

Stayed at the HIE on my way home from a trip to Belfast. Room was a good size and I liked the wet room for showering! The location is handy for the bus Station and good eateries. I always find that the rooms are very clean as is the bed and I like the choice of pillows.
