Reception staff efficient and friendly. Room clean, sofa bed made up for us on our return from a meal out. The staff were under pressure at breakfast, cutlery trays were empty as were the buffet trays but they were helpful when asked and soon replenished the trays. There was a good selection of food and the scrambled eggs were delicious.

I had booked two rooms for an overnight stay. One for my mother and the other for my 2 children (aged 17 yrs male and 13 yr old female) I had booked what I thought was a twin bedded room with a rollout but on arrival was told that one could not have a rollout in a twin bedded room. The twin beds in the room were large enough and very comfortable - I shared with my daughter and there was enough room not to be kicked! However this is not the point as I thought I had booked a rollout and was told this was the case at booking. The Holiday inn call centre who had taken the booking had misled me and this is annoying. The staff at the Holiday inn in Cheltenham were apologetic and very nice.
Oh the breakfast was inedible...plastic sausages and congealed scrambled egg. Could eat it.

Stayed for one night in two rooms with my dogs.
Excellent service and my westie dogs made to feel welcome.
Shall stay again

Bread and beans seldom stocked up. The choice of foods was poor and when you consider that I was here for 9 days, it was not exactly the start of the day that I was looking for. Scrambled eggs, sausage and beans EVERY day.

Good standards all round in a clean and well managed hotel very conveniently located for Gloucester and the environs. Rommel spacious but provision in the room more on the basic side. Breakfast a bit limiting with cereal range. Bar area had some noisy groups in the evening and the manager left them to it; could be a little insensitive. Overall good value for money.

Room was very clean, bed was comfertable but a little on the small side for my liking. Nice pub selling good food within 50 feet of the hotel door. Very nice hotel and good value for money

Was placed in room that was directly above a loud party downstairs and with no air conditioning. Evening staff was slow to respond or assist with only a token fan being provided. Morning staff/manager was better saying they'd credit back the Priority points I had used.

I had a room facing into the courtyard and have to say that I have never stayed in such a quiet town hotel. Nice to be able to keep the windows open all night without getting disturbed by people or traffic!
Clean room, comfy bed but ridiculously cramped bathroom - no space to put the bathmat down until you close the door! Breakfast menu good but dinner overpriced and food quality did not live up to the flowery menu descrptions.
