I have always had good experiences when staying at this hotel and I am sure I will again. The only thing that did not go well was the shower experience. My roommate was unable to adjust the heat during her shower when it suddenly became too hot. We were also not able to get the faucet to cut off and had to call the staff to come and turn it off. I do not know if the problem was taken care of because we only stayed overnight and the staff did not come back before we checked out. Overall it was a good visit as always, I would still stay with this hotel again.

when I was checking in, the young lady at the desk was so busy talking to someone she didn't even scan my keys and after I got to the 3rd floor room, I found it out since they didn't work. When I booked my room at 9am, I chose a package they offered that gave me a box of local products. When I checked in at 4 pm, I asked about it and the girl didn't know what I was talking about. She asked someone else and they said I had to make my reservations early so they could go get the stuff. I told I made them that morning. She said they didn't keep some of the things that goes into the gift box cause they would spoil. She said she could have it that afternoon, I told her I was checking out the next morning and I would be going away from the motel. If the motel is going to offer thing like the gift box and I had to pay $10 extra for it, a least they could have the things to go into it. They had plenty of time to got the things before I got there. The girl that checked me in was more interested in talking to her friends than check in a guest.

Again the hotel was disorganized and not ready for guests. The room lacked the standard amenities that would allow you to work and relax so you could be ready to take on a new day. I will be looking for a new place to stay.

Room was average
TV channels limited and breakfast was cold. It was difficult to relax and unwind Hopefully the property will improve with the remodeling.

I have never had a worse experience even in some of the cheapest motels. And I expected so much more from this place. There were problems with the sheets. I found hair on the pillow cases and instead of sending someone to change the bed sheeting and pillow cases, they just had someone bring me two pillow cases. I reported my stay to someone on the phone already but I thought the compensation was quite inconsiderate. I had two rooms total. My grandchildren had a room to themselves and they found women's underwear in their room. I reported all this to the front desk. I thought that they would try giving us a better room but they were so nonchalant about the whole experience. There were no other vacancies in the Kinston, N.C. Holiday Inn. (where I wanted to be because that is my home city) But we live in Stafford, Va. and were on vacation. What a bad vacation. I look forward to hearing from management and some type of reputable compensation for such an experience.

We stayed in 6 hotels in our Cycle North Carolina Mountains to the Coast bike ride. This one was by far our favorite. Clean. Smoke free. Very comfortable bed. Friendly helpful front desk staff. And a nice breakfast. I can't over emphasize the comfortable bed. I slept well at this one.

This is a very convenient place to stay when we visit family in the area. I could go on and on about the good things about this property, but to shorten my review, I will just say that the staff make this place rock! Ms. Ann is great at getting the breakfast started and visiting while making sure everything is stocked. The office staff will go out of their way to make your reservation work out, even though my situation was very complicated, they fixed everything. The only negative - AT ALL- that I can say about this property is that it is time for renovations. It is clean, but needs updating.

Every week I arrive the same time and leave the same time, yet every week I have to go through this whole deal where my reservation is either missing, cancelled or some other unreasonable excuse. There is all sorts of construction inside and outside the hotel. The in room air conditioners labor all night long and barely cool the room. Some staff are friendly but very unorganized.
