Let's start off that the desk clerk had her boyfriend hanging around when I got there. Then when she saw me, she tried to get to the desk and realized she locked herself out and had to climb over the desk.
Got to my first floor room ( she didn't give me an option, even though there was one other car in the parking lot), the toilet was dyed pink from chemical of some sort. There was bugs and dust next to the vanity in the bathroom and wall. The electric outlet was out where the clock and a lamp were plugged up to. I could clearly hear the man next door talking on his phone, coughing, and humming while he took his shower.
For being such a rural area, they should provide a canteen. I just needed a tylenol and they had no over the counter medications.
I asked for a late check out because of a delayed meeting I was having. Late check out for them was 12! That's usually the normal check out for any other Holiday Inn/Express Hotel. Also there was maybe 4 other people staying there that night, so they had plenty availability for me to stay until 3pm
Breakfast had a good selection, however several of the hotel workers came and ate while I was eating. Not very business like.
I did like that they supplied mouthwash. Not too many of the Holiday Inns do that.

Approaching this hotel from the West (eastbound) is more of a task than it should be. It is better to go into Graham, make a right turn onto Elm and then turn left onto 4th St. which curves back toward the West right into Hwy 380. The U-turn I was given when I Googled my route was ridiculous.
The hotel is atop a ridge, and my window overlooked a wooded area. I would have liked a location where lunch / supper were within an easy walk. Everything is a drive away, especially considering one needs to make a U-turn coming or going, as the hotel is on a divided part of the highway. I wish I'd known about the Subway shop, which maybe she mentioned, but I didn't catch. All I remember her mentioning was the Dairy Queen. I only discovered the Subway shop on my way out of town, and saw it later on Google Map. There is, though, the pizza delivery option which the key card informs. Having inadvertently left my "doggie bag" from supper the night before in my previous hotel fridge, I would have loved a chopped salad from Subway. Unfortunately, I got stuff from the vending machine. It would seem that some extra guidance for hungry, road weary guests would be in order.
The Post Office is a convenient fraction of a mile from the hotel, and the front desk person was very helpful to me in finding it and some places in my next destination. The Old Post Office is a museum in the middle of town.
The WiFi worked well. That was essential, as I was continuing to work while travelling. The swimming pool was beautiful with lovely landscaping and a waterfall, but probably too cold during the early Oct. day for many people. I was determined, though, and did some laps and aquacize. Being granted a late check-out was very helpful, too.
