Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Flagship Staff and Property This is one of my favorite properties within the IHG brand - here and Sandpoint, Idaho - both have well trained staff, ALWAYS thank you for being a Priority Club member, and usually get upgraded - something other properties don't do (I realize it is based on availability) but saying "thank you" is a simple thing that makes the customer feel recognized. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unclean Room - Staff not invested Arrived to find used soap and shampoo in the bathroom and much much worse, blood on the bed linens. When calling the night staff (I was a late arrival) their first question was if I wanted to have someone come up to change the sheets. I requested a new room, and was given a new room but that was it. No apology from the night staff - I actually think they thought I was the inconvenience. No apology from the morning manager when I checked out. I'm sure my concern was never passed on. November 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sister's reunion a success The main things I was concerned about were safety, comfortable beds, cleanliness, lots of space, having all the amenities we needed and a reasonable price. I was nicely surprised to get all of that but the cost was a little high I thought. I don't travel a lot but I thought a Holiday Inn Express would cost less than their standard hotels. I was proud that I had found a good place to meet and the reunion was a success. Thank you. November 10, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jacuzzi tubs don't work My wife and I rented an executive suite for her birthday. When we turned on the jacuzzi in our room, two jets didn't work, and the others had very little bubbles coming out of them. We called down to the desk and they sent someone up to check the jets out……He agreed that the tub was not working correctly. Then they called us back and said, they would give us $20 off a $170 room. Both my wife and I agreed we could go home and watch t.v in our own bed without spending this kind of money. They stated they had no other rooms available. Nobody tried to compensate us for anything, this is the third time something like this has happen. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!! November 9, 2014

Lighting along the service road to the hotel was lacking, we did not see a sign for the hotel near the entrance to the drive (it was dark). The driveway is not hotel property so I don't think this is within their control. Hotel staff was great, check in was a breeze. Very courteous clerk, she recommended a nice restaurant in town. I am sorry I didn't get her name. Attendant at breakfast did a great job with stocking food bar. She was very polite, asked us if we needed anything. You have a very pleasant staff, its nice to see smiling faces! October 22, 2014

The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great!We were flying out of Bishop International Airport and needed a shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle driver was prompt and friendly. I have stayed at numerous Holiday Inn Express facilities over the years and have never encountered such a rude staff. I have in the past been very happy with my stay at Holiday Inn Hotels. Whenever I plan a trip my first choice for lodging is always a Holiday Inn Express because of the consistent service and quality of stay. I was very disappointed with these accommodations. The pool was a bit cool for my liking, but very clean. Breakfast was fast and easy with the typical Holiday Inn Express selection. The staff was very attentive to the breakfast area and the food was all fresh. Check-in and out was fast and efficient October 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wood framed There is not much that can be done to keep things quiet in a wood framed stracture. When the floor plates are concrete, you can barely hear a noise from people walking in the hallway or the room above. With wood, every step is heard. Luckily I stayed on the top floor in this hotel. I would have had to move or check out if i wasn't. Breakfast is normal HIE fare. Why serve the eggs with cheese is beyond me. For lactose people a simple egg with a bowl of cheese to the side would work much better. September 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by check in I had asked when I called for the Holiday Inn Express close to the airport. Found out later there is one closer. When I made the arrangements, I sat on the phone so long, I made them online faster. Put the date of the funeral in for check in and not the day before when we arrived. The girl checking us in, cancelled the online reservation and charged us the higher price for our entire stay. Would have stayed longer but was not really happy with the way it went down even after I said we were there for a family members funeral. I have been a rewards member and have stayed at Holiday Inn Express many times every year and encouraged others to stay there. For the future, I will be checking into other hotels, as to their accommodations. September 10, 2014
