Check in time was a little later than normal. It s small tourist area. We booked a king size mini sweet and the room had plenty of space. For the area the value is average. We hiked to the base of the canyon and upon return wanted to relax and soak. Our room offered only a shower so we had to go to the spa area, which closed at 11pm. Security came to check on us and inspected our drinks. I understand the dangers of having glass in a pool/hot tub area and we had canned beverages, it just made us feel like we were doing something wrong and we left shortly thereafter. Breakfast was the worst part. The options were pretty standard, but the quality was subpar. The sausage was dry and flavorless. The "omelette" was some egg with a slab of cheese in the middle, the bananas were the fruit option and they were old. I ended up going to the general store to buy some food and the next day we went to the coffee shop next door. The staff was pleasant and overall our stay was good, but I was definitely disappointed for the cost.

Super friendly staff. Nice location easy to access the Grand Canyon. The beds are very comfortable and charging ports above the nightstand were convenient. It was nice to have the sink outside the main bathroom, but the shower/toilet area was very small.

Exceptionally comfortable bed and linens for a Holiday Inn Express, with a spotlessly clean room and friendly, efficient service at check-in.
Two important points to note, which hopefully by mentioning them will make others' stays better:
1. Internet access is non-existent. If you will need data access during your stay then you will be in trouble. Despite the protestations of the hotel, reasonable web access is available in the town.
2. The property is in Tusayan, not Grand Canyon Village. This is, of course, easy to check prior to departure, but if you don't then the lack of any mention of Tusayan on the email confirmation is irritating and potentially inconvenient.
If, however, you're briefed on the location and you don't need internet access, this is a very good Holiday Inn Express indeed!

This Holiday Inn was average. It was clean and comfortable, but nothing exceptional. Breakfast was very crowded because the hotel was booked solid. We were actually in a separate building from the main hotel. I think the building was probably originally something else and renovated to be part of the Holiday Inn. I would recommend it to people but tell them it is not as nice as some of the other Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in.
