Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Highly priced for value received We stay at Holiday Inn Express almost exclusively when we travel. I have to say that this hotel was the highest priced during our vacation and provided the least value of any of the other Holiday Inn Express properties that we stayed at during our 2 week vacation. We expected to pay more because it was a tourist destination; however, we expected to receive the Holiday Inn Express experience. The room was a typical motel room that had been "updated" to look more modern, but it was the typical small motel bathroom where the toilet is almost sitting inside the bathtub. The sink/vanity is outside the bathroom. This room reminded me of a lower end motel. The staff did thank us for our elite status, but were not friendly or helpful; however, we noticed that the typical demeanor of the town people tended to be either quiet and/or sullen. It may have been a cultural nuance that we were misinterpreting. Overall, if we were to return to this area, we would choose one of the newer hotels in the area for the price we paid. May 13, 2016
