Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My worst experience at a Holiday Inn Express I'm used to clean, modern facilities when staying at a Holiday Inn Express. This property is very old. The furniture is all worn out. The bed is the worst bed I've ever slept on. The mattress seemed to have ages and it was extremely fluffy. I had never experienced a mattress like that at any hotel. The pillows were as bad. Long story short, I found it extremely difficult to sleep. The cleaning staff was rude and they could care less about the customer. I went out for a sunrise photo shoot at 4 am and got back at 12. My room was not ready and the cleaning lady told me that she was about to come in. I kindly asked her to give me a couple of hours to sleep and that I would be going out at around 3 pm. She seemed annoyed by my request. Upon my return at 9 pm the room was not ready. The three days that I was there this lady and her colleague spent all day talking so loud in the corridor that I could hardly concentrate on what I was doing or to rest during the day, in between my photo shoot. A very bad experience overall. April 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced This hotel was totally overpriced for what it provides. Clearly there is not enough lodging available near the Grand Canyon and they are overcharging as a result! The pillowcase in our room actually had dirt on it and the was garbage in our bathroom. Dingy little room that felt dirty. April 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and convenient We visited the Grand Canyon for two days and stayed here. Great front desk staff; and very good breakfasts. Michael at the front desk is great! Only draw back…the hotel is getting worn and in need of some interior upgrades (i.e., carpets, etc). The bathroom and shower curtain smelled moldy. April 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience We were very happy with our stay at Holiday Inn. It was very convenient for us to get to the canyon. The breakfast every morning was outstanding!!! There were plenty of things to choose from and the man that oversaw the food was very efficient. He was constantly cleaning the counters and making sure that everything was well stocked. Your breakfast gave us a great start every day. April 16, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Turnover Congestion We enjoyed our stay but did not like the crowded confusion: 1. In the hallways in the morning with the staff waiting for the rooms to be vacated. We recognize that the daily turnover is high but we found it unpleasant to find the service carts blocking the corridors and the areas around the elevator early in the morning as we made our way to breakfast. And then to return late in the afternoon and find our room (we stayed two nights) had not been serviced. 2. At check in. Long lines and slow processing. April 15, 2015
