Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel Just like in all the other Holiday Inn's we enjoyed our stay here. Check in was fast and friendly, room had everything we needed. Small indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was the usual HI breakfast. Because the hotel was full it was a bit crowded, but we could still find a table. Quality and service according to the standards of HI, but price of the room rather high in comparison to other HI's. Reason, the location near the Grand Canyon. August 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great room, but large price Cons: This room was average priced for the going rate for hotels in the Grand Canyon area, however that average price was very high, as much as I normally spend in downtown DC or Chicago. The internet never logged on when I tried at 10 PM--probably the full hotel with free internet had jammed the circuits Pros: Very comfortable room, as good as any luxury hotel. Our room had refrigerator, which was very useful for storing food we intended to bring into the park the next day. Bathroom could use some updating: sparse, but adequate. August 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice... We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and as expected. Nice view from the balcony. The spa in the "adults only" building was a most welcome relief after exhausting ourselves with the beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon. We did see several children in this designated building - some as young as 6 - but not in the spa, which is why we wanted this building. It did bother me that towels were not restocked at the spa through our entire stay (spanning three days) There were some children at breakfast, but they were well-behaved. I'm just noting this because booking in this building may not give you desired results. I do believe the breakfast here could be improved as it was the most disappointing of our trip and stay at several HIEs. The staff was courteous and exceptionally helpful when we checked in. Our Club status was not expressly acknowledged, but we did get a credit of points. The location is perfect for your Grand Canyon visit. August 8, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Close to the Grand Canyon Entrance The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very nice. The entrance to Grand Canyon was only a couple miles down the road, which was very nice. We had a situation though where we booked a mini suite that was located in a building for adults only. We payed almost $300 a night so we would have the privacy of not being around children. We were suppose to have a private breakfast area with no kids as well. After being woke up at 4:30 am by a screaming baby for hours at a time and then heading to breakfast to find about 10 kids there being loud leaving no seats for us to enjoy breakfast, I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel if you are wanting a quiet place to stay and not wanting to be around children. It may say adults only but it is not that way at all. August 4, 2014

Was difficult for a family to all sit together in the sitting area with everyone pouring in to find food. A bit on the spendy side, but comparable to other National Park lodging prices. July 28, 2014

I slept in hotels 1/4 the price with better internet, security considering alarms were going off thru ought the night. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Place Needs IT upgrade Rooms very nice. Very convenient to the Grand Canyon Park. If you need WiFi, it was poor even in common areas. The pool was small but more important there were no towels in the late PM (somewhat understandable) however, In the early morning there was only one towel. To be fair I didn't have time to notify the front desk either time about the towels. The front desk did tell me the WiFi was not strong and the common area was best. They need a major upgrade to list WiFi as an amenity. July 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location! Comfortable Beds and Wonderful Food! Traveling from Georgia to Las Vegas We stopped for the night The Front Desk was a quick easy check in. We watched the Sunset at the Grand Canyon, ate showered and went to bed. The next noise I heard was my wife telling me to get up We left early and watched the Sunrise at Yawi Point. It was Beautiful Arrived back at the Lodge and ate a Hearty Breakfast. Soaked in the jacuzzi/hottub before heading to hoover dam. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely stay again and Highly recommend them. July 26, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced hotel You get what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. All standard. But upgrades for Gold ambassadors are not available and status is not recognised. An experience, I made throughout this brand and Staybridge. Only Indigo and Intercontinental recognise automatically. Breakfast is really substandard. Price at HI Grand Canyon is overprized, maybe due to its good location. Fair enough. July 23, 2014

We stayed here because we has booked a hike tour for 5am the next morning and it was close to the Grand Canyon just a few miles from the park entrance . Upon check in the front desk was not very friendly and when we asked if there was a early breakfast to go option they said no and gave no suggestions. I waited and then asked later if it would be possible to purchase a few packets of oatmeal for my family and was told they did not carry such items and that it would be a good idea to purchase them at the general store across the street. I was fine with this until the next morning at 4:45am at check out we noticed breakfast was already being set up and there was a large selection of oatmeal. I would have thought they would be more accommodating to Grand Canyon travels it was one of the reasons we chose a Holiday Inn Express. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfact hotel if you are visiting Grand Canyon National Park Great Location. Well maintained property. Staff is overwhelmed. Be careful with their recommendation for tours. We found all of tours is nothing but making money or I should say waste of your money. Most of the sight seeing can be done through park shuttle and walk or bike tour. If you are willing to spend more time by hiking, do it yourself, it will save lot more for you as Safari tour is nothing but same as private shuttle ride. I can honestly say that this was one of the most depressing hotels I've stayed at in years. No upgrade was offered, no welcome water or even a cookie. The rooms are tired gloomy and the smallest bathrooms. Please don't ask me to review your hotel if you only expect good reports. July 18, 2014

Otherwise, its a decent hotel room with typical free hotel breakfast fare, restaurants in the area cater to the tourist, very expensive and average quality. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and relaxing vacation retreat After traveling for three days and stopping over at various hotels, Holiday Inn Express was a welcome retreat. The bathroom was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The only negative was that the bathroom did not have a fan, and the light took forever to turn on. Since the location was so far from civilization, the Internet service was EXTREMELY slow. If you are traveling on business, and need to use the Internet, you will be disappointed.
