Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only 1 mile to the Grand Canyon! We have stayed at H. I. Express hotels before, and have never been disappointed. We were able to check in here very early, which was fantastic considering we had been traveling all night. Eustachia, the front desk person was extremely kind and friendly. This hotel is about 1 mile from the Grand Canyon, so we were able to spend most of the day there, go back to the hotel, then went to the Canyon for sunset! We also took one last drive in the morning before leaving the area. There are a few restaurants right near by, and, as always, souvenir shops! The hotel was clean, and the breakfast buffet in the morning had fruit, make your own pancakes, muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice, etc. May 2, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Travel to the coast Hotel was in a great place, but was an old building trying to be updated. It smelled musty. Heating and air system did not work well, and room smelled like they had sprayed a ton of air freshener. Holiday Inn Express should stop trying to update old hotels. It is hurting their reputation. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed and good choice of pillows The room had black-out curtains for sleeping, we could open the window ajar so we didn't have to have the a/c running on and off all night, the breakfast had good choices (though there were a lot of people from bus tours all eating at the same time - kind of congested and noisy in a relatively small dining area). We would return to this property, though. It had good value for the money and is in good location to get to/from the Grand Canyon. Staff was efficient when handling check-in. April 29, 2015

It was in a very brightly colored and patterned pillowcase so there is no way they would have confused this pillow with one of their own. We were told that no one brought the pillow forward that day. They took my phone number and said someone would call me the next day after talking to the Housekeeping staff. No one called us back and another call to them did not help. April 29, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday In Express - Grand Canyon My stay was not planned until the very day I checked in. I was camping at the Grand Canyon and got sick. So I needed a place to stay and booked this hotel. For being sick it made my 24-hr bug tolerable as I was better the very next day as if nothing happened. I had a little trouble with the climate controls as it was not intuitive at all, but other than that everything was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. April 29, 2015
